With each passing day, President Barack Obama, leftism personified, demonstrates that leftism is characterized by anything other than the human compassion it claims as its exclusive possession.
I've always said leftists are about not compassion or treating people with sensitivity and respect, much less equally, but control and bullying, all with an arrogant, mean-spirited air of superiority.
For Obama, there are at least two aspects to his control-freakishness. He not only pushes policies that give the federal government vastly more control over our lives but also is inordinately dictatorial in the manner in which he ramrods his agenda through, displaying utter contempt for what anyone else thinks, what he might damage with his unilateral actions and, most of all, the Constitution and the rule of law.
Obama is on a tear now, and no one had better get in his way. He told a group of liberal Democratic donors at a fundraiser this week in New York: "I hope you will all step up because, although I'm very optimistic about our long-term trends, the notion that we would waste two years in further inaction rather than move boldly on a path that I think all of us in this room agree on -- we don't have time to waste. ... The clock is ticking. ... I want to squeeze every last little bit of work that I can during the remainder of my term."
Prior to his taking office, did anyone ever tell this man no in his life? He acts as though no one else has any say at all in policy decisions in a nation established with three coequal branches of the federal government, individual states with robust powers and citizens armed with individual liberties.
It's as if he truly believes that as president, he has the power and a mandate to cram through every last morsel of his leftist wish list, no matter who opposes him or whom he hurts in the process.
His latest gambit is to impose federal regulations that could extend overtime pay to as many as 10 million workers who are now ineligible for it. What makes this leftist president think he has a duty to use his office to act like a union boss, micromanaging what management pays employees, irrespective of any of the multitudinous factors that have to be considered in making such a decision?
This is part of a disturbing pattern. Obama obviously doesn't care that his onerous regulatory, spending and taxing policies have put a severe and long-term drag on the economy, as long as he gets to use the Monopoly money to spend on pet projects and to redistribute to people he deems, in his sole discretion, to be worthier of it.
He is defiantly unconcerned that Obamacare is going to raise people's premiums, as finally admitted by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, despite his promise that it would reduce the premiums for a family of four by some $2,500. He doesn't care that Obamacare is radically reducing the available medical specialists in almost every field throughout the country, that people are losing their plans that he promised they could keep or that it is forcing people out of work. As long as, in his sole discretion, he gets to keep his beloved Obamacare, he will not even consider the collateral damage.
In his push to extend unemployment benefits ad infinitum, in his sole discretion, he callously ignored study after study showing that these extensions cost people jobs. He doesn't care that increasing capital gains taxes reduces overall revenues. He doesn't evidence the slightest concern that his unilateral action, in his sole discretion, to raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 per hour could cost 500,000 jobs, according to the Congressional Budget Office. He is the president and a wonderful liberal who "cares" about the little guy, so don't you dare question him.
Trade associations, which are already engaged in fighting him over this minimum wage insanity, say they were blindsided by his announcement to extend overtime pay to workers. "This came as a shot out of the blue," said David French, the National Retail Federation's senior vice president for government relations. "Just on the surface, this looks like an enormous new administrative burden."
But Obama can't be concerned with grumbling from the peons. Betsey Stevenson of the White House Council of Economic Advisers said they were trying to "make the labor force as fair as possible for all workers."
There they go again. It's all about "fairness" and "economic justice" and other Jane Fonda-esque euphemisms to disguise their tyrannical actions as caring. Fairness for whom? If employers decide to limit employees' hours or cut their base pay to account for overtime, will that be fair for them?
People are rightly concerned that Obama routinely ignores the Constitution and rule of law, but they sometimes overlook just how callous he is in the guise of being compassionate, and it's time he quit getting a pass for his officious behavior.
Jesse Jackson paved the way for Obama with his “race card” brand of extortion.
Communuty Organizers have always been nothing more than extortionists and bullies. They are to be treated like any other bully. Smack them on the one with a newspaper and they crawl right back under the porch.
Unfortunately that was Boehner’s job and he didn’t do it.

Removal from Office by the US Senate can ONLY be accomplished AFTER a Chief Executive is Impeached by the US House of Representatives.
The House is analogous to the Police, and the Senate is analogous the Judge and Jury.
First the House must Impeach Obama.
Then the Senate determines if the Impeached Obama should be removed from office.
Most FReepers fall in the all or nothing camp, and only want to consider a clear path to Removal from Office.
Our Constitution makes it very clear: Impeach first by the House, and then have the Senate decide on Removal.
The objective is to punish Obama for his many violations of his sacred oath to defend the US Constitution.
Although bi-weekly Impeachments for at least a year of B. Hussein Obama would be required to punish him for all of his Constitutional violations over the last 5 years, just one Impeachment is an achievable goal in the summer of 2014.
Obama’s Removal from Office by the US Senate would be good for America, but unlikely before 2015 as Reid’s US Senate has not yet demonstrated any interest in what is good for America.
Since the RINOs now have control of the US House of Representatives in 2014, then 2014 is the last year that we can be certain that Obama could be Impeached.
The RINOs assume that they will maintain control of the US House, but their usual desire to lose to Democrats is so strong, that their assumption may not be a valid one.
Thus, a reasonable plan to Remove Obama from Office would be to Impeach Obama in the Summer of 2014, hold that Impeachment during the Autumn Election Campaign, and then send the completed Impeachment of Obama to the US Senate in 2015 one week after the newly elected Republican Senators are sworn in.
The Republicans would then have a clear National Referendum on what the loyalty is towards Obama and his Communist Five Year Plan:
“IF YOU DON’T LIKE WHAT OBAMA HAS DONE IN THE LAST 5 YEARS TO “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” THEN VOTE FOR YOUR REPUBLICAN SENATOR AND HOUSE REPRESENTATIVE.”
As Speaker Newt Gingrich proved to us with his “Contract With America:” Republicans win when they actively campaign on the basic Republican truth that “All Politics are National.”
Thus, the 2014 Republican Candidates for House and Senate would have the assured Removal from Office of Obama a another excellent reason to vote a straight Republican ticket, in addition to the other Campaign issues such as Obamacare, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, and all of the other Obama Scandals.
Hopefully, the Democrats and the Left Stream Media will accuse the RINOs of “using the blame game by playing politics to use the Obama “phony” scandals as a political football to quiet their extremist TEA Party base by trying to Impeach the first Nobel Peace Prize wining Commander in Chief.”
Come to think of it, their comments are EXACTLY what our Founding Fathers would have expected from supporters of those who are undergoing Constitutional Checks and Balances.

Make the 2014 Election Campaign all about the completed Impeachment of Obama by the House.

Make 2014 the year that the American People FINALLY took back control of the US Federal Government!
One of the most blatant recent examples that was, of course ignored by the media was his creation of the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) in the Obamacare Plan.
The IPAB is an unelected 15 member panel appointed by Obama to set the pricing on services and determine what doctors are allowed to recover for their treatments. This effectively puts government -Unelected Government- between doctors and their patients.
In adding this board that Palin called the Death Panel, Obama even rewrote the constitution to issue a decree on how it might be altered or abolished. What he declared was that the panel could only be repealed by congress after Jan 1, 2017 BUT must be done before Feb 1 2017.
Jan 2017 is after the next presidential election. New members of congress are not sworn in until some time in the first week of January and then the wrangling for committee assignments begins and takes up most of the month along with all the planning and rigmarole that goes with the Presidential inauguration on the 22nd and subsequent festivities followed be requisite hangovers. That leaves maybe a week for both houses to come to terms with the issue and weigh all the political factors necessary for them to summon the courage to repeal this creepy violation of our constitution.
In the meantime (NOW) Obama knows there are very few people with the courage to try to stand up to him and the race baiters on his team.
I'm counting the voices that might be heard speaking to the unlawful actions of this president. So far I'm at ONE!

But lets not forget that 40% of public voted for him. That most republicans are like him, and that GWB gave us the most extensive welfare program of that time. So basically have the greater majority of this country likes, wants, needs, and desires to have this nanny state imposed upon us. There are actually a very small minority of true constitutionalists that understand what is happening... and good luck in changing anything.. We are on the way down, down, down,, enjoy the ride.
But if we impeach him now, the chances of actually removing him are non-existant.
The House is bound to pick up more GOP seats in 2014 and the new GOP reps might remove Boehner.
If that happens and the GOP picks up enough seats in 2014 in the Senate, they might actually be able to remove the bastard, no?

I have to disagree with you. Any attempt by congress to impeach in 2014 would be a media disaster for the republicans, which will cost them the house and a chance at the senate.
Patience is a virtue. Hold the House. Win the Senate. Then start changing anything unconstitutional the President implemented. If the President refuses to budge, now go the impeachment route. With two full years and no impediments. And in the process you can take down Holder, Sebillius, Lerner, and work on Reid and Pelosi.
