Palestinians militants in Gaza launched at least 50 rockets into Israel on Wednesday in a fusilade that prompted a senior Israeli minister to call for a full-scale military takeover of the coastal enclave.
The missile salvo was aimed at neighbouring Israeli towns and villages, causing residents to flee for shelter, although there were no reports of casualties. Three of the rockets were said to have been shot down by Israel's Iron Dome missile defence, while another exploded near a library in the town of Sderot.
The Israeli army responded by firing shells into Gaza, damaging two "terrorist infrastructures", Haaretz newspaper reported on its website.
Responsibility was claimed by Islamic Jihad, which said it was in retaliation for the killing of three of its members by Israeli forces on Tuesday. Another group, the Popular Resistance Committee, said it also fired rockets.
"The response has begun to the crimes of the occupation, the latest of which was the killing of three members," the Al Quds Brigade, Islamic Jihad's military wing, said in a statement which put the number of missiles fired at 90. It said the rockets were part of an operation it called Breaking The Silence.

My bet is Obozo is pressuring Egypt to not reveal the evidence they have of Morsi & MB involvement in Benghazi. And Covering his own crimes there.
The should not bother with taking it over. They should level the entire strip and frog march all the palestinians into Saudi Arabia.

I personally believe they should just pave the entire Gaza strip. Make it a big flat parking lot with no cars.
