There should be ONLY ONE campaign finance law: “Total Discloure.”

You MUST report every penny you receive and where it came from.

That’s it.

You cannot accept anonymous donations, any person or company can donate any amount they want, but since you are advocating for a public office you must reveal yourself to the public.

The idea of anonymity was to protect the donor from government retaliation. If transparency is the goal only those who are unconcerned about OSHA, IRS, EPA and immigration audits will donate and the rights of all others which have been solemnified by the Supreme Court will be effectively denied.

Certain political constituencies make death threats to donors against their causes. And since those constituencies are worshiped, they get no legal blowback as they should. So I see nothing wrong with anonymous donations to PACs. Period.

How about...NO!

If everything has to be disclosed it would in effect any business/owner from donating anything.

The demonrats would sick all the government agencies on them and drive them out of business.

The unions would send the rent-a-mob over to picket and protest.
