Schumer at AIPAC 2014NY Senator Charles Schumer railed Monday against the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement, saying that the movement is a modern form of anti-Semitism.
“It is very suspicious that those who boycott Israel don’t want to boycott anywhere else in the world,” Sen. Schumer told AIPAC. “I believe that those who call for boycotts of Israel without calling for boycotts of other neighboring nations are practicing, whether they know it or not, whether they admit it or not, a modern form of what we call anti-Semitism.”
“The word that describes all of these acts is a very simple one: anti-Semitism,” said Schumer to loud applause.
Sen. Schumer also has some hidden indirect criticism at Sec. of State John Kerry for suggesting last month that Israel will face a boycott regime if it fails to advance the peace process. “Those who even with the best of intentions warn Israel that she must make agreements she feels unjust because the boycotting will only get worse in the future, those people have it all wrong,” Schumer said. “Those quote-unquote friends should be condemning the boycotts in every possible way and weakening them.”

Schumer is absolutely right. Boycotts were used by the Nazis to involve the mass population in anti-Semitic activities at least in a passive manner. This desensitized them for the horrible things to come. Few protested the anti Semitic laws, Kristalnacht, the forced emigrations, arrests, and finally mass executions. European leaders should know their recent history better and denounce these boycotts for what they really are.

Chuck Schumer, avid fan of Barack Hussein Obama, wants to have it both ways: he wants to cheer on the crushing of freedom and liberty and the ruination of free-market capitalism, the U.S. Constitution, and the Judeo-Christian ethic WHILE AT THE SAME TIME pretending to give a damn about the state of Israel and the Jewish (voting) population of his state.
