That means the Romeike family, who claim the German government is persecuting them because they want to raise their children in accordance with their Christian beliefs, and not through the German public school system, can stay in the United States without the threat of being forced return to their home country.
This might have something to do with it as well...

Christians in an east Tennessee community are vowing to engage in civil disobedience if the Obama administration initiates deportation proceedings against a Southern Baptist family from Germany who sought asylum in the United States so that they could home school their children.
“It may require civil disobedience with this bunch,” said Rep. Phil Roe (R-Tenn.), who represents the congressional district where the Romeike family lives.
I think it has more to do with medical issues. Mrs. Romeike looks to be about ready to drop a baby any day now. A good doctor would say that she cannot travel because that would endanger her and her baby. The baby will be born here. The baby will be an American citizen. But I am guessing.
Apparently they have this court ruling down on the books now.

Homeschooling is PREVALENT in the USA. There are MILLIONS of children being homeschooled even as we speak.
I have also met college students who have been homeschooled ( all of them DOING GREAT in college ).

No fundamental right to determine the education of one's own children??? When did parents become superfluous in the upbringing, nurture, and education of their own children?
Or does the Obama [In]Justice Department think that these kids are all "test-tube babies," sans parents (except for their contributions of egg and sperm at far distance remove), such that the State is their real Mommy and Daddy?
Maybe the Obama [In]Justice Department would prefer children to come into the world that way....
These Obamamaniacs are sick, sick, sick. They appear to deny actual Reality at every turn. They appear to think that "thinking about the world" in a "new way" can somehow magically, fundamentally transform the very structure of Reality.
I'm simply disgusted that the Supreme Court denied their appeal. Rather than respect and uphold the most fundamental principles of our nation, it turns out they prefer to further enable the social policies of the most unprincipled and malignant administration in the history of the United States of America.

Thank God. But we still have a fight to engage in. The goal of the region me was not to get them, but to undermine the legal freedom to homeschooling. We must continue to press the issue. All the best to this family.

They are certainly an improvement over the uneducated, non-assimilating people who spill across our border on a regular basis.

Daniel Dennett is representative of this way of thinking. He enthusiastically embraces Darwin’s evolutionary theory because it supposedly provides an explanation for the emergence of life from non-life bearing chemicals, thereby negating the necessity of the living, supernatural God. Hence Dennett’s insistence that there is no soul/spirit associated with man or any supernatural God or life after death. Thus the central concern of Dennett’s career has been to explain how,
“….meaning, function and purpose can come to exist in a world that is intrinsically meaningless and functionless.” (The Spiritual Brain, Beauregard & O’Leary, p. 2)
Evolutionary conceptions in general and evolutionary biology in particular reject the Genesis account ex nihilo together with Original Sin and the fall and teach instead an inverted exegesis positing that man comes up from lower creatures. This upside-down view leads to a philosophy of moral relativism (subjectivism) because if men were once something else, a genderless blob of matter and then later on lizards and even later still some kind of ape-like creature, then not only are we going to become something else–maybe a divine superman, god-man, or super robot—-but nothing can be said about transgender, ‘gay,’ and lesbianism since all life forms ascended from a genderless blob of matter that spontaneously generated itself from nothing.
With regard to soul/spirit, if man evolved from non-living, genderless matter or energy and lower life-forms, then his rational nature, his soul, differs not qualitatively but only quantitatively from the beasts. Like beasts, man is not a person but a creature of the earth. Like them he has no spirit—--free will, higher mental faculties, and conscience. He is a fleshy robot or hominid whose brain is organized by the genome and the genome shaped by natural selection.
Worse, as all naturalist conceptions are equally God-less, none have an ultimate source for life, consciousness, soul, and personhood, hence all are merely different expressions of anti-human nihilism which makes man equal to or lower than the nonhuman, thereby allowing for all manner of crimes against humanity, especially the weakest, hated, envied, despised and inconvenient.
Evolutionism is the antithesis of the Genesis account of creation ex nihilo which reveals that man is a person because created in the spiritual image of the One God in three Persons. Man was created directly by God with a superhuman intelligence and original nature from which Adam, hence all of us, fell away and to which we are called back.
Vishal Mangalwadi, India's foremost Christian scholar observes that the unique concept of man as God's spiritual image-bearer gave birth to the "belief in the unique dignity of human beings," and this is,
"...the force that created Western civilization, where citizens do not exist for the state but the state exists for the individuals. Even kings, presidents, prime ministers, and army generals cannot be allowed to trample upon an individual and his or her rights." (Truth and Transformation: A Manifesto for Ailing Nations, pp. 12-13)
In affirmation, the brilliant French economist, statesman and author Frederic Bastiat said man is God's spiritual image-bearer, and this is the gift from God which includes the physical, intellectual and moral life:
"He has provided us with a collection of marvelous faculties. And He has put us in the midst of a variety of natural resources. By application of our faculties to these natural resources we convert them into products, and use them. Life, faculties, production — in other words, individuality, liberty, property — this is man (and) these three gifts from God precede all human legislation, and are superior to it. Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place." (How Evil Works, David Kupelian, p. 8)
John 1:3 identifies our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Holy Trinity as the Creator:
“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” “He was in the world, and the world was made by him” (v. 10). “The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us” (v. 14).
Jesus Christ is the Creator. Foremost of His miracles is creation out of nothing—six instantaneous acts or days of creation rather than the billions of years of evolutionary process as the wisdom of fallen man holds.
The conflict between evolutionary biology and the Genesis account ex nihilo is the single most critical issue today. Among crucial issues is the answer to the question, ‘what is man?’ The answers provided by evolutionary biology and natural scientism are entirely opposed to the answer provided by the Genesis account. If the winner is evolutionary biology, then heaven help us!

and may they be able to stay as long as they’d like and continue to fulfill their God-given responsibilities according to His will.
