My esteem of Laura has now been lowered a notch. Why? Because one of the chief requirements of being POTUS is to have the skills to know who will be working for you to run the govt. Governors have exhibited these skills, Senators rarely so (see the present instance currently in office as an example). Besides being a Senator, Sessions notoriously said this about the approval of Eric Holder as AG 'he was sure that Mr. Holder would be “a responsible legal officer and not a politician.”'

Disqualifed himself forever from consideration.

FWIW, Senator Sessions rated second in Heritage Action ratings from the entire AL congressional delegation.

Ingraham has been consistently wrong with the pols she backs, time and time again. I don’t know why anyone believes she is not a RINO cleverly fleecing her “conservative” listeners.

'he was sure that Mr. Holder would be “a responsible legal officer and not a politician.”'

This sounds a lot like Southern speak akin to "Well, bless your heart." It is a genteel response to someone who is abhorrent.

Sorry, but you have jumped the shark in your Sessions disqualification with the example provided. Better luck next time.

Jeff Sessions can articulate the conservative postition very well and would be fellow that would get my vote ahead of Jeb, Rubion, Thune, and a host of others being mentioned.

Scott Walker would be better, but Sessions is a solid individual.

Our Republic would be blessed, honored and fortunate were Senator Jeff Sessions POTUS.

You ought to actually check his stellar conservative record, instead of cherry picking a comment.

And, BTW, he’s a US Senate Leader against illegal alien invasion.

sorry, can’t agree.

sen. sessions is solid, statesman like, true conservative.

in addition, he is humble but experienced, meek and wise, basing his positions on fact or as near as you can get in d.c. and has a perfect grasp on how to draw conservative dems (me being an ex-dem) like my family in particular. he is reagan like in his positions and demeanor.

right now, i’d support him for president. he’s on my short list.

Jeff Sessions besides being a true southern gentleman is a great conservative. He is one of the good guys.

Of all the people in the US Senate to start bashing why would you pick Jeff Sessions? If he wants to run for President which I doubt I would be glad to see him do it.

Disqualifed himself forever from consideration.

What is Sessions' opinion now? Aside from that Sessions is probably the most intelligent Senator. Probably not presidential timber.

I would vote for Sen. Sessions should he run, unless Sarah Palin was also running. Come to think of it, he would make an excellent VP for her.....

BS. I’d vote for Sessions in a heartbeat. I’d go back to sending out the max donation to a GOP candidate. I’d go back to making phone calls and standing on the corner with a sign convincing anybody that was convincible to vote for Sessions.

So Rick Perry would be a better president than Cruz?

Bush would have been better than Pat Buchanan?

Pat McCrory is the best governor to run for president imo. Scott Walker is for cheap labor.

Gov. Pat McCrory on Wednesday accused unnamed High Point manufacturers of pushing for a loophole in state law so they can hire illegal immigrants instead of American citizens.
