They were thinking they’d have a guaranteed market of sheeple. Not a herd of cats that would pick over the good tuna fish and leave the rest.

No too hard to figure it out. How about for starters the cost of a plan would be higher by hundreds. The deductible would be in the thousands. More than likely most people would never exceed the deductible. Therefore the premium would be pure cool profit. Quite a nice racket. They were hoping like any good rotten democrat that millions of the young would sign up and probably never exceed the deductible.

They merely moved over to the exchanges and started offering "compliant" plans at a higher price than they were getting before. And my understanding is that if not enough people sign up for ODouchecare and the insurance companies don't make what they were expecting to make, you and I get to bail them out.
