If we take back the Senate, hopefully Turtle Mcgoogleyes will be home watching the appointment proceedings on Cspan.

Didn’t this fool republicans do so9me sort of “power sharing” when they were last in the majority? How’d that strategy work? What a pile of feckless degenerates. Hey, congresspersons...the LIBs will never like you no matter how much you appease them. Don’t you get it?

Unfortunately, if Kentuckians fail to do the right thing, he’s right!

Unfortunately, I think he will be right. If Kentuckians try to remove him, maybe voter fraud will keep him in.

To quote that great philosopher, Bugs Bunny:

“What a MAROOOOOON!”

Seriously, why on Earth would the Republicans put back the filibuster and allow the Dems to bottle up their legislation. Give them back their medicine for at least a single session of Congress and run roughshod over them. Make them BEG to put it back - and then make sure that only a 2/3 vote of the Senate can get rid of it again.

F’ing cheese-eating surrender monkey!

over backwards to show how fair they are by giving them back their minority powers

I seem to remember a certain R Senator from AZ that had been the ONLY one exonerated from the ‘Keating Five’.

After an election (not sure which year) but an R was Prez so VP had the decider, it was virtually a 50-50 split and the R Senator from AZ was leading the push to be ‘fair’ and have the committees be represented by an equal amount from each party. He was real ‘gung-ho’ about it till the Dems started insisting on Joint Leadership for the Committees and the guy from AZ decided it wasn’t such a good idea after all.
Don’t remember the Senator’s name but his wife was/is one of the Biggest Chevy Dealers in AZ if not the country.

Amnesty, i.e., the Gang of 8 bill, already passed the Senate with 14 Reps voting with the Dems. The Senate passed amnesty (Hagel-Martinez) in 2006 and 2013. It will pass an amnesty regardless of filibuster or not.

If we get rid of the filibuster for all bills, not just appointments, we might have a chance to pass an enforcement bill and the repeal of Obamacare if we could get control of the Senate and the WH.

So basically, Mitch is advocating handicapping ONLY Republicans when they are in control of the Senate.

Because as swiftly as Harry Reid accepts its return, he will rip it the filibuster out again should he get the chance.

This is why the McConnell/Boehner/Cornyn Republicans SUCK. They seem to enjoy being used as doormats by democrats who walk in after a day walking in cow pastures.

Wow, this is bad. More tip toeing from useless surrender monkey McConnell.

McConnell has no interest in being an engaged opposition party with the kenyan in the WH. That begin the case, I see little reason to support the GOP for the next two years. The gelded old turtles in the Senate GOP want the perks but not the responsibilities. Not with my support.

Seriously, why on Earth would the Republicans put back the filibuster and allow the Dems to bottle up their legislation.

The only reason that makes sense is that the GOPe does not WANT conservatism, that they really ARE in league with the Dems, and just play-acting that they oppose them.

As long as the GOPe plays nice with the Dems, then things are easy. The GOPe can accept money from lobbyists, go on expensive junkets, keep mistresses, get invited to the good parties where the booze and cocaine flow freely -- and the MSM will studiously ignore it all, AS LONG AS THEY BEHAVE AND LET THE DEMS WIN.

But if they allow real conservatives to get control, then the good times are over. THAT is why they fight so hard against the TEA Party.

And while that was going on, the Democrats were secretly negotiating with a Vermont Senator to "jump" over to the Democrats so they can retake the Senate. I don't recall much power sharing after that happened.

“The prospect of returning the threshold for breaking filibusters on nominees to 60 votes from the simple majority established by the Democrats “

You did not read the article did you ?

McConnell wants to allow fillibuster of appointees changed from needing 51 to confirm to 60 to confirm.
