This Is A Food Line In Venezuela
Linette Lopez
Feb. 28, 2014, 1:14 PM
People line up to buy food at a supermarket in San Cristobal, about 410 miles (660 km) southwest of Caracas, Feb. 27, 2014. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Pope Francis called Wednesday for an end to violence in Venezuela that has killed at least 13 people and urged politicians to take the lead in calming the nation's worst unrest in a decade.
One of the reasons Venezuelans have been protesting all over the country for weeks is because of mass shortages of food and other goods.
In December, opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez compared the country's astonishing inflation rate to Zimbabwe's. Consumer prices have risen 56% since Nicolas Maduro took power in 2013.
This line gives you a pretty stunning impression of what that's like of how many Venezuelans have to get in line for hours to feed themselves and their families every day.

That looks much like the line at our new Trader Joe’s store in Denver!
Coming to a supermarket near you soon.

The ideal of marxists!

Reminds me of Cold War Budapest: stand in line to get in. Stand in line to tell them what you want. Stand in line to pay for it. Stand I line to pick it up. And after all that, it’s inedible.
I was in a line like that at Target on Thanksgiving @ 9pm.
Well I did get a new Discover card out of it....
Remnants of Hugo Chavez, one of Odumbo’s heroes, and a model for America.
Nancy Piglosy would tell us, ‘it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors.’ Remember, ‘it takes a village.’ Barf..
As sobering as that photo is, our food lines are orders of magnitude longer if you count EBT cards.
Ain’t Marxism grand.
Uh...my food bill here in the Pacific Northwest is up 21% Jan 2013 to Jan 2014.
And we have long food lines at food banks here in Seattle as well.
All in all I would say we have it about one third as bad as Venezuela.
Way to go Obama!!!
Isn’t SOCIALISM great?!?!?!?!?!....................
EBT raises food prices for the rest of us.
Artificially increasing demand.
all those free agents trying to sign up for obamacare
If Chavez were here, he wouldn’t allow this!
The Venezuelans are getting socialism good and hard. I pity the sane ones who opposed Chavez.
Harry Reid says that this is fake. It’s not true.
Democrat socialist sub-humans like Penn never acknowledge the suffering that always accompanies the collapse of their utopian wet dreams. It would be to traumatic to have to admit their do-goodery only really leads to abject suffering instead.
