There’s a minority set of scientists who don’t even think HIV is the cause, but that its proliferation is just a symptom, of an AIDS which is actually due to the contact of semen with intestinal mucosa which would never happen in a natural context.
In other words, the bible might not be just woofing about “receiving a due penalty in their bodies” which is more than unhealthy psychological habituation, and this was a problem well before we actually knew about HIV, though the modern HIV may have accentuated the consequences.
All this said, I want to keep reminding people that however they got there, homosexuals are in a spiritual pit and they can’t get out except by the grace of God. And wagging fingers at them in their pit is not what is going to get them out of their pit. In many cases it will take brothers and sisters, both married and single, who live out in their own lives what godly sexuality is, to show these erring people how to get it right. The church has been too lax about heterosexual adultery and one consequence is a loss of power to help those caught in other perversions.
Amen. I agree.
Agreed. But the absolute worst thing our culture can do is encourage them to remain in their depravity, right into hell and the lake of fire. Any so-called Bible believing Christian who encourages that is the worst of monsters to encourage that fate, or they’re calling God a liar when He says unrepentant homosexuals go to hell. So it’s impossible to encourage homosexuality and be a Christian. Any such profession of faith is sheer delusion. Christ addresses such disobedient delusion here:
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Could you reference where the phrase receiving a due penalty in their bodies is from in The Bible? I couldn't find it preliminarily.
Thanks.
