I've always liked Jeff Sessions and now I like him more. Nobody can accuse him of being a junior senator as they do Ted Cruz.

The Ted Kennedy wing of the U.S. Senate was so proud of scuttling Reagan's nomination of him to the circuit court some three decades ago. Bet they wish he was just a circuit court judge now.

The RATs have moved so far left that even the RINOs would no longer feel at home.

<>America is not an oligarchy… A Republic must answer to the people…<>

Hmmm. It does. Congress answers to the people every two years, and if the national popular vote scam is successful, so will the president every four.

The electoral college has been so depleted of meaning that we’re virtually at a popular election, even if state by state.

Okay, I’ve no dispute. So for general, practical purposes both congress and the president are subject to popular, democratic will.

Yet, Senator Sessions implies we have an oligarchic form of government.

America is not an oligarchy… A Republic must answer to the people…Congressional leaders must forcefully reject the notion, evidently accepted by the president, that a small cadre of CEOs can tailor the nation’s entire immigration policy to suit their narrow interests.

The above is what he thinks...that we aren't designed to be an oligarchy. However, he believe that CEOs are calling the shots behind the scenes.

When McConnell and Cornyn out, maybe Senator Sessions could be the majority leader next year.

Very interesting article. One part raised my ire: “In terms of political power over the House GOP, Senator Sessions is the real Republican leadership.”

Let’s face it, that’s not much of a challenge. Considering the weeper and eric the weasel, a broken dinner plate could provide better leadership.

Good for Sessions. The sad part is that he has to fight this battle at all.

The more I hear and read about Sen Sessions the more I like him. Hope he doesn’t deviate from the path he is on. I want to learn more about him on other issues too. Glad to have him in the immigration battle.

Jeff Sessions has been consistent in this beliefs and actions for a long time. He used to be a Democrat.
He switched parties back in the 1990’s.

I too wholeheartedly agree. IMO there will be a serious push for immigration reform aka Amnesty before the mid-term elections as the pro-business lobbyists are not liking what they're seeing in that likely outcome. IMO they see a diminishing or shrinking playing field for any prospects of getting something passed after the November 2014 elections.
