For much of Barack Obama’s presidency, he has sought to avoid being defined by his race or gender, often emphasizing that he is the leader of all Americans. On Thursday, Mr. Obama will use the power of his office to focus on helping young black men succeed.
Stymied by Congress on many of the economic policies he considers central to the lives of blacks, Mr. Obama is seeking to prod nonprofit foundations, business groups and civic leaders to provide more opportunities for a struggling part of the American family.
His new “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative is aimed at finding ways in which business and civic leaders can intervene at just the right moment to keep young black men and other men of color on a successful course.

I’m sure the ever sought after Hispanic voter is gonna love this, or the model minority Asian voter as well. But thank god for the idiocy known as white guilt otherwise stupid stuff like this wouldn’t get off the ground.
This program is supposedly about giving a “second” chance to troubled yoots, not successful kids who just need work. What businesses can afford to have employees who have track records of violence, robbery, theft, gangsterism, going around stoned, selling drugs, etc.? 10% is crazily optimistic, but let’s say you hired 100 “brothers” under this program, and the first year only`10 raped, robbed, beat, and/or killed other employees or customers. 10 others destroyed equipment or caused injuries while stoned, or stole significantly from the workplace. Does Obama’s “program” give immunity from liability for on-the-job acts perpetrated by criminals hired by the participating non-profits, foundations, and businesses? How about indemnification for losses due to theft, fraud, identity theft, etc., committed by the “employees”? Cause you imagine the lawsuits that will result from this? Any company that would get into this without immunity and indemnification needs new management ASAP.
If Obama and his handlers think this is actually viable (as opposed to a p.r. stunt), they are insane.
There is no hope for a lost generation of black males.
There will be a few who will escape the cultural trap. A few might be Dr Ben Carson or Justice Thomas or maybe Herman Cain. Some will be engineers or Lawyers. Some will excel at athletic endeavors.
Most though will pretty much do nothing. Uneducated and semi literate their outlook is poor.

I seem to remember after the Simi Valley incident that Maxine Waters ‘extorted’ beaucoup big bucks to GIVE to the yute of South Central and Watts to stem the tide so the yutes wouldn’t riot.
Got the money and rioted I think....
Or maybe it was AFTER they staged the riot.
Then they extorted money to REBUILD (AGAIN) their neighborhoods.
Maybe the money should have come from the City Officials and PD retirement accounts as they didn’t seem to mind letting things ‘happen’.

I think this was a stunt to “empower” the Democrat vote in November...NOT to really help young black men.
The unemployment rate for blacks since the Clown seized power has gone way up....he doesn’t, truly, give a damn about their economic or moral status. He wants to use them for votes...just like he treats all his constituents—young people, celebrities, academia, etc. They’re just tools for his organization.
And in the long-standing tradition of left-wing "journalists", I suggest that they use the 3 monkeys as their logo and change the word "evil" out with the word "truth"
