SAGINAW, MI — A group of Saginaw County-area Democrats joined together at Saginaw's Savoy Bar and Grill to endorse Michigan gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer.

Michael Hanley, chairman of the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners, said he met Schauer in 1996 on the former congressman's first campaign for state representative.

"I can't tell you what a strong leader Mark has been since the very beginning," said Hanley at the event Monday, Feb. 24. "He certainly has a great wealth of experience. One thing he has carried with him throughout that entire experience is a strong support for working people."

Schauer pledged to, if elected, provide leadership that will have a positive result for communities like those in Saginaw County.

"The story in Saginaw County is really the story of Michigan," Schauer said. "Communities, particularly schools, have been hit hard by the failed policies of cutting funding for education and systematically privatizing education in Michigan."

With these endorsements, I wonder if Marky Mark's campaign is so rough that he's worried about a primary.

Oh, Mark Schauer a strong leader? LOL. I had to deal with Marky Mark for 2 years as my congressman. He did whatever Obama told him to do. Cap and Trade. Obamacare. Stimulus. He then after he was fired goes out and gets pepper-sprayed at a union protest. Marky Mark and the Pepper Bunch need to lose.

We already has to scrub away the Schauer scum once, lets avoid having to do it again.

BUT, alas, he’s a democrat.. no doubt Union connected..
AND blind to or complicit with all sedition and treason being inflicted on the U.S. these days..

I mean, at least, jeese, become an independent or something..
Remaining a democrat PROVES... he is a moron -OR- worse..

It didn't help him hold his house seat for more than a single term and they spent more than twice as much money losing the seat than the conservative spent winning it.

Can't blame you there. To me, Schauer is just that bad. Otherwise, I'd probably leave that race blank or 3rd party it.

Unusual to defeat the Unions in blue States.. but it happens rarely..
In New Jersey.. UNIONS rule? or the Commies?...
Not even their hair dresser knows for sure..

The wise know there is no difference.. it’s trick question..

Unions are collapsing in Michigan since the RTW law came into effect. Obviously the UAW isn’t going anywhere but they are struggling.

One indication is a union being turned away in the most liberal county in the state yesterday (Dingells district no less)

True.... but they(unions) owned the State for a hundred years.. take time for the old guard to die off..
Who knows..... Michigan might become a player again..

It could happen..... hard to see it... just now..

He has a primary, against a nobody named Mark McFarlin. From the looks of McFarlin’s webstie he’s running on a “legalize weed” platform.
