I went crazy when I read that! Actually, his screed is very funny - whether he’s mocking someone else or making an ass of himself. But then I read and love the National Enquirer. I’m just that kinda shallow gal.
Monday morning (after the story broke) I tuned in to MSNBC to see how they would handle it.
Schadenfreud you know.
There was a brief mention of Baldwin’s rant on the Way Too Early show, but no details and none of the funny lines.
And on the Morning Joe show? No Mika and no Joe. They didn’t show up. No explanation given. They just didn’t show up.
Now maybe they were traveling or working out details on Joe’s putative presidential campaign. But I think it was just another pathetic instance of those in the media doing what they do these days: protect their own and, above all, protect themselves.
