In my personal experience my spending is focused on keeping warm at this point. However that doesn’t mean the economy would be any better if it were warm.

I had read a few days ago that if the consumer was really in a position to buy, it would have shown up in higher on-line sales. It did not. Therefore the weather had little or nothing to do with poor retail sales.

I might feel better if it was warmer but the spending on taxes, energy, tuition, insurance & food hurts regardless of the weather.
