Sen Cornyn Hails 'Friend for Long Time' Karl Rove

Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Tx.) loves to heap praise for his buddy, Karl Rove, a GOP Establishment political operative, who is calling for Republicans to play nice with Hillary Clinton. Cornyn has described Rove as "my friend for a long time."

The Texas Tribune reports that, "Once the Texas GOP's go-to campaign strategist, Karl Rove has become something of a boogeyman for campaigns on both sides of the ballot in the 2014 election cycle."

Rove explained that Sen. Cornyn is a true friend of the liberal elite in Washington D.C. Rove is quoted as saying that, “His colleagues like him a lot and respect him enormously. We need a new leader to rein in the president for the remaining three years of his presidency, and that man is our senator from Texas, John Cornyn.”

According to the Texas Tribune, "Stovall and U.S. Rep. Steve Stockman, another of Cornyn’s primary challengers, have made comments online in recent weeks linking Cornyn with Rove, hoping to raise questions about Cornyn's conservative credentials."

Karl Rove announced his glowing endorsement of John Cornyn for US Senate at a pep rally in Longview earlier this week.

With this tip of the hat to Rove and his acceptance of the U.S. Chamber of Amnesty’s glowing endorsement, Cornyn shows how truly clueless he is in connecting to conservative Texans. That’s why his ads have to tell us he’s conservative. Otherwise, we’d never guess it.

If someone had told me back in the 90s or 80s, I’d be hating the Republican Party with such seething anger now, I’d have laughed at them like they were drooling idiots. It just couldn’t be.

Yet, here we are. As that old cigarette commercial (Virginia Slims?) used to say “We’ve come a long way, baby.”

The odd thing about its that I detest the GOP probably more than the Democrat Party or its true-to-form politicians. The Democrats I can understand and hate with righteous certainty. The establishment Republicans is a different story. They continually tell us they “are on our side”, “believe what we do” ad nauseum. Yet, they stab us in the back with both hands and then tell us they voted “no.” EFFING TRAITOR LIARS

The good ol' Chamber- the group that wants Republicans to reach across the aisle in order to "pragmatically fix" Obamacare. I can see why these closeted Democrats love Cornyn...

Karl Rove spent over $300 million in races and lost most of them. What is to love about that?

Why would Cornyn think that Rove’s endorsement helps him with Texas voters?
