“The evening that PepsiCo put our name on was an event in which journalist Andrea Mitchell interviewed Gabrielle Giffords and Mark Kelly about their lives since Ms. Giffords shooting. Other than to have our logo and name attached to that particular evening session, we have no relationship to Ms. Giffords or to her organization, Americans for Responsible Solutions.”

Pepsi was all over Obama too. I quit drinking Pepsi and have all but cut out Coke too. I feel better as a result physically and mentally.

I can further share that PepsiCo has never supported groups that either advocate gun control or oppose hunting.
I'm glad that there's been enough pushback that they feel the need to backpeddle ever so slightly. The left has a vast army of activists who can spend all their time visiting corporations and inviting/guilt tripping/browbeating/threatening them to support thier causes or to oppose ours. We on the right have no similar advocay army so the war is decidedly asymmetric.
