Just exactly where and how is the EU involved?
And to be factual the EU is not communist.

The actual real people, who are mostly at home, going to work, raising their children, etc.
They’ve been enslaved to the new world order “team” called the Eastern bloc.
Now the new world order “team” called the Western block is covertly trying to take this neighborhood as its territory.
It’s like the Gambinos fighting the Bonannos over who will get a “cut” of everybody’s paycheck.
The good guys are not part of either outfit; the bulk of the population who really have no real voice.

As opposed to that bastion of Conservative Capitalist values, Vlad Putin? You realize that the protesters are pissed because the President of The Ukraine refused a trade deal that would have opened trade with The EU, which Vladdy ordered him to turn down. The people in the Ukraine want western currency and products, not rubles and cabbage.
