Nah, it wouldn’t be “we were only kidding”, it would be “you can’t do that! We’ll audit you every year from here on out!”

I have never been to Huntsville, but the old Chrysler defense building had to be a part of my old group.

I wish we could have lured them to Tennessee, but at least we got Beretta....and of course long-time Tennessee gun maker Barrett.

Congrats Alabama.

“...long-time Tennessee gun maker Barrett...”

And Barrett is the most innovative gun maker of the last few decades. His 50 cal sniper rifles have now been copied by many companies but he showed the way. And the best compromise between 5.56mm and 7.62mm is Barrett’s REC-7s in 6.8mm.

That is an excellent, relevant, and scary slogan. It is too right-we only get to make that mistake once. We are making it when we acquiesce in incremental confiscation by registering, etc.

In whichever state, it would be great to have all the weapons manufactuerers centered in the south. Or maybe not too wise tactically. Could someone smarter than me offer some pros and cons as to this?

So many safe queens out there for sale. I buy almost all my firearms used. Bought my son a used Remington model 722 (bolt action rifle predating the 700 untill the early 60s.) in 300 savage. A real tack driver that can be loaded up to .308 power levels in strong actions like the 722.

Plenty of gently used 700s out there.

Hooray for Huntsville! A very pleasant town where they still seem to subscribe to American values.

I moved here in 1966 and would not want to live anywhere else. We are very different than the rest of the state. Good job, city officials.
