I moved NY to GA a while back. In GA, 2/3rds of vehicles are SUVs, trucks or jeeps. NY sees very few of such on the roads, presumably because they can afford neither the larger size nor increased fuel.
In what part of NY did you live? Upstate and outside the cities most of the vehicles you see are pickups and/or SUVs. They're needed to get around in the winter.
The unions need to become a big tent to survive and let people in who are pro-gun, pro-life and pro-borders.
Bill did the computer modeling for the Astro-Spiral jump for Jay Milligan’s thrill show in 1972. I met Jay Milligan (himself a NY native from Orchard Park) at the Fair in Danbury, CT in 1974. He was running the American Thrill Show. They had just completed filming of the “Man with the Golden Gun” where they did the stunt again.
I have the program in my hand right now with all the guys autographs and the story on the jump at the Houston Astrodome.
I wish I had seen the jump in person. Anyway, the show they put on in Danbury was quite a thrill for a 12 year old boy.
Every time I drive through Western Upstate NY, it just looks right from the fauna and flora.
The NYS Regents at the time ran a high quality and tight ship.
I'd be happy to live there again, but not as a citizen/taxpayer.
Arms manufacturers moving south can only be a good thing over the long run. Should we ever have to rise again, we will need their help to stand up to the mightily corrupt force of Washington.
I feel in my heart that one day the south will rise again.
This is one reason I don’t mind Liberal states shooting themselves in the foot. Althou I am quite Obviously appalled by the New York ‘safe act’ burial assault upon the essence right to keep and bare arms.
I am nonetheless inclined to let this play out in New York as a non-new Yorker. I will tell New York Patriots to carry on their fight and keep their guns illegally if necessary. But this is a New York problem that must be solved in New York.
Until then tell your neighbors that we in the south don’t mind at all taking all your manufacturing jobs. If y’all want to join us down here your welcomed.
Elmira was the glider capital of the US at one time.
No longer the case?
(I once witnessed the Havana Baseball Team play the Buffalo Team (in the International League) - (and have been to Cuba, NY)).)
“..you vote for libtards, you get laws from libtards,...”
Agent, that is THE motto of the year, as far as I’m concerned.
Excellent post, brother.
Remington should come to Pennsylvania.
We are a Gunny State, and we will jealously defend that status.
And they WILL find people who want to work, no problem.
Same as Calexico/Mexicali border. Simply stunning.
Exactly.
I believe there were a few glider manufacturers after WWII there but no longer.
Alabama is a conservative and very religious state. I reckon the gun folks from NY might be conservatives, but they better be ready for the question: “What church y’all go to?” or “Have y’all found a church yet?”
The people hare are not going to force you to go to any church, but as good Christians will be wanting to share the Good News, that’s all. I’m a Catholic, and heck, I don’t mind it at all. My little parish is ultra-conservative, probably because of the Baptist influence! We even have Wednesday night bible classes. We fit right in!
“Union official” says that like its a bad thing
Rural, from Syracuse to Batavia.
NY is not a right to work state. The workers can be forced to join a union whether they like it or not.
Thanks. I forgot that in union states, people can be forced to join in spite of their wishes.
