Alleged perp’s name is heavily russified indicating a Sunni ethnic Uzbek. It is extremely unlikely that said person could cooperate with Iranian authorities who are backing Assad’s government against Al-Qaeda. Concurring bump.
This guy's a jihadi smuggler who operates in the border region close to Afghanistan, not an official in the Iranian government.

That would have Iran supporting both sides in the civil war among the insurgents, both Hezbollah and AlQ as well as Assad. Curious.
Assad himself has been holding off on bombing the Al Qaeda-linked rebels and has been bombing the moderate ones. This information just highlights that strategy.

There are no moderates fighting in Syria. They are all Mohammedans.
