One of the favorite pastimes of liberalism is to try to inflict guilt on people of European descent for being part of a lineage that they believe, in the words of Bill Ayers at the Dartmouth Debate with Dinesh D'Souza, "murdered" the American Indians by way of contagious disease.
Calling it the "European Invasion," liberals believe that prior to Christopher Columbus' arrival American Indians were virtually disease-free. Never mind that syphilis, which originated in the New World, was brought back to Europe, where spirochete bacterium was not present until after Columbus and his fellow discoverers returned in 1493.
The Columbian theory concludes that invaders from across the sea brought to the Americas the scourge of bubonic and pneumonic plague, chicken pox, cholera, diphtheria, influenza, measles, scarlet fever, smallpox, typhus, tuberculosis, and whooping cough.
Even though Indian tribes were slaughtering each other, lefties argue that their lack of immunity was solely responsible for American Indians dying en masse after exposure to infectious diseases, and are persuaded that 80-90 percent of the Native American population perished after Europeans landed in the New World.
Whether that scenario is truth or fiction, there remains a problem with the argument. Liberals incessantly harp on the fate of unsuspecting American Indians being infected with European maladies, yet that outrage doesn't jibe with their insistence that amnesty be granted to illegal aliens, some of whom carry diseases eradicated long ago from North America.
At the turn of the century, immigrants coming to America through Ellis Island were screened for disease, just as law-abiding persons immigrating via legal channels today require a medical exam as part of the process.

No.
If it helps their agenda they would CAUSE it!
I used to listen to libtards accuse Bush of killing people and wonder “how could they think something like that” but now I understand it.
I can EASILY see them doing that.
“No.” aligns with the green agenda to de-populate the earth. Well, at least of conservatives.
Care?
They are delighted.
Wasn’t it the American Indians who distributed blankets from infected individuals into settler camps, to make disease kill them?
Michael Savage’s first demo tape back in 94 was entitled “illegals and epidemics”, and his message has remained unchanged since.
And that was back when Rush wouldn’t touch illegal immigration with a ten foot pole.
One under-reported problem with the Mexican illegals is tape worms. They get them from food that isn’t cooked properly and bring them with them over the border. Once inside the tape worms lay eggs and those gets get into the bloodstream. When they travel to the brain they eventually look like a brain tumor. Your tax dollars and mine pay for the surgery to remove them. Estimated cost for brain surgery? $50,000 to $150,000.
If that’s not bad enough, consider that those Mexican eggs also get on the hands of the person when he goes to the bathroom. If that person handles food in a restaurant, guess what. The eggs get into your food and *you* now have the tape worm problem.
No. They see it as more “comeuppance” for America because we have been too successful, without the rest of the world’s permission.
No and no. Because these idiots believe the earth can only sustain about 500 million people and that the rest of those billions need to be culled out. They want the big die-off. That is part of their one world government plan. If you are not “smart” book wise, a good little liberal and follow the commie way, you are a prime candidate for culling. Christians, people of any faith except Muzzies, conservatives, whites, Americans, etc. are prime candidates.
Soldiers going overseas to places we shouldn't be have to take vaccines that can cause medical problems in the future. The US recreationally destabilizes places when they don't like its its leaders. It's a miracle that some horrible plague has occurred with the chaos in these places. Rather than remind people that homosexual practices cause AIDS we've created an impression they'll be cured. "Safe sex" will have less urgency with morning after pills being handed out like candy, even to young teens.
Obviously the government doesn't care. Ever situation, regardless how bad, gets spun around to how it can lead to increased control over our bodies and minds.
In a word: projection. They assume we’d do it to them because they wouldn’t think twice about doing it to us.
Yes. It isn’t fair that the rest of the world is sick and we aren’t.
No. Liberals only care about (1) Intentions/Pretensions, and (2) Funding.
All those other things, like (3) Results, (4) Consequences, (5) Long-term Damage, (6) Repercussions, etc., etc., are somebody else's problems.
When the hell will Americans realize that the liberals are communists Democrats and their only objective is to remove wealth for all Americans and reduce the mass to huts without plumbing etc.
Do liberals care ?
The author of this provocative trick question makes a clear and compelling argument for a negative response.
Clearly, the facts in the article demonstrate in this instance liberals not only do not care, but intend an undesirable result that disrupts our society. I will add our history indicates many are willing to generally disrupt society by any means or form, or in amy manner.
In just one of many examples, Community organizer is actually a misnomer, it ought to be community disorganizer.
If the efforts of these organizers were at all effective, wouldnt we be seeing a decline in big city ghettos and in poverty in general?
Nope, other way around.
The Indians didn't weave cloth very much, certainly not enough to make blankets.
Blankets were a common trade item from white traders to Indians in return mostly for furs.
Sometimes they were given to the Indians as "presents".
These were usually the ones with smallpox to infect the Indians.
After the Crooked Walk, in Pennsylvania, Tom Quick, AKA Tom Quick, Indian Killer, AKA Tom Quick, Avenger of the Delaware, watched as Indians he grew up with, shoot, tomahawk, and scalp his father while his father was still alive.
The Quick family had always been friends of the Delaware tribe, inviting many into their house in the winter, and had nothing to do with the Crooked Walk.
The Indians were rightfully pissed over the Crooked Walk, and took it out on every white the could.
Tom vowed to kill every Indian he could.
Throughout his life he killed 99 Indians, then wiped out most of the Delaware after he died.
The Indians hated him so much, they dug up his grave and chopped his body into pieces, displaying the chunks on poles throughout their settlements. Tom had died of smallpox.
Much of the tribes of the east Coast had been decimated by a Plague prior to Jamestown or the Pilgrims arriving. I think Sqanto told them this at Plymouth.
