I wouldn’t get quite that enthusiastic until I read the fine print:
This percentage jumped to 16 percent this year, a rate that more than triples the 5 percent recorded by Gallup last year. Meanwhile, the percentage of Americans favoring stricter gun laws fell seven points in 2014, from 38 to 31 percent.
So this article, positive as it is, says that in its poll the issue still breaks the wrong way by a 31% to 16%, or two to one, ratio. Puts you in much better position to defend, but it doesn’t sound like a strength ratio which would put you in position to easily win with a frontal assault.
