George P. Bush, nephew of George W. Bush and grandson of George H. W. Bush, said he has reservations and concerns about the Republican Partys rhetoric on immigration.
In a sit-down with CNN reporters and producers Tuesday, Bush said that he and other Republicans wish the party would return to George W. Bush on this issue, referring to the former presidents bipartisan push to reform the nations immigration policy.
But with Election Day fast approaching, Bush said its probably too late for Republicans to pivot away from the partys conservative base and seize the political high ground on the immigration issue.
I am a pessimist as to the timing right now, said Bush, a co-founder of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas and a fluent Spanish speaker.

Where's that waffle picture when we need it?
Support David Watts for Land Commissioner.
If George W was DoubleU, does that mean that George P is Pee? Most likely.
No, Pee, it’s not a question of conservatives avoiding the “political high ground.” It’s a question of staying out of the immigrant swamp. So to speak.

Trust me, I am fully behind DAVID WATTS for Texas Land Commissioner.
There isn’t a chance in hell that I will or would support anybody with the name of Bush. We’ve been there and done that.
Thanks for giving us a name we can support in the Land Commissioner’s race. Anybody but Bush.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow...
