Hang in there. I know it is hard. I just said a prayer to The Lord Jesus for you. I am sure God knows your situation. I had 2 jobs collapse out from under me within less than 3 years. God gave me another job. May He watch over you.

Thank you so much, SkyPilot! It’s all been very mentally disruptive to me. I never thought I would have such a hard time finding a job, and I never have (of course I had that one for a long time, so I wasn’t looking, which in hindsight might have been a mistake).

I am in a similar situation. 2 jobs vanished out from under me within the past 5 years. The competition is immense, and anyone who believes that simply doing away with extended UI will get people to find work has their heads far up their backside. (See the JOLT report......3 unemployed people for every single job opening)

The way I see it is that we print billions of dollars each year for aid to other countries, tin pot dictators and all sorts of other things that are not paid for, yet the GOP draws the line at this aid to Americans in a time of need?!?! It just is terrible optics, and I say that as a Conservative.

(and it should be noted that each time the unemployment rate was above 6.5%, this has been extended.....even under Bush #1)
