U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Wednesday that he was unfazed by criticism in Israel over his peace efforts, saying that he was threatened by real bullets so words do not intimidate him.
In an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper, Kerry was asked to respond to the Israeli ministers who criticized him earlier in the week after he threatened Israel with boycotts if peace talks with the Palestinian Authority (PA) fail. [ ]
Referring to his service in Vietnam, he added, And, you know, wordsI have to tell you, my friend, Ive been, attacked before by people using real bullets, not words, and I am not going to be intimidated. I am not going to stand down with respect to President Obamas commitment to trying to find peace in the Middle East.

Jean-Francois in Vietnam? I know he was in Paris.
Kerry’s at it again, waving around his “war hero” status. He never unsealed his military records so it’s impossible to believe anything he says. Some have claimed that he was dishonorably discharged for his conduct during his shortened tour in Vietnam. They say he wouldn’t obey orders and ran away from every potential conflict.
Here we go again with the “Christmas in Cambodia” fairy tale.
John even Israelis know you are wuss COME ON
It’d be sweet if the Israelis came back with jab at Kerrys “service” and his boo-boos
One of his sycophants at the State Dept. earlier today used this same tactic.

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters that criticism of Kerry over his threats of a boycott of Israel if peace talks fail were meant to distract attention from progress in the peace process.
Any rhetoric that is inaccurate and critical as this is unhelpful. These kind of attacks are unacceptable. They not only distort his record but they distract from the key issues at hand, she said.
Psaki added, however, that Kerry was planning to ignore the criticism and continue his efforts.
He has a tough skin and he has seen worse than having personal verbal attacks against him, she said, adding the Secretary of State would not spend a lot of time worrying about words people are using against him.
Real bullets don’t begin to compare to divine judgement.
Keep mess’in with Israel and you will find out the hard way.
Yes.
Too bad they missed.

This is quite bizarre. I presume SOS Kerry is unaware that, in Israel, even the little kids know the sound of "real bullets", rockets too. And in government, well, combat vets aren't as rare as they are here.
Since his presumably informed, though bizarre, criticism is directed at Naftali Bennett, it's worth noting that we don't know if Bennett has been under fire. And probably won't, since his active duty and ongoing reserve service included serving in the Sayeret Matkal and Maglan special ops units. Naftali has served in Lebanon, but I'll bet he's never been to Cambodia for Christmas.
Diplomacy of this nature would embarrass most third world countries.
Are you talking about John Heinz?
And here I thought I heard thunder this evening; now I know it was Tonk, reacting to this thread!
Kerry threw away his Vietnam Metals, an act which speaks volumes about his sense of Honor, Patriotism and commitment to Peace on Earth.
No wonder that “Catch-Up” Kerry was so well liked in the US Senate!
Old horse face thinks he’s talking to a bunch of American girly-men who are easily impressed by his empty bluster. In reality, he is talking to a nation full of combat veterans who have faced real bullets on many occasions - and this applies most particularly to those in high government office in Israel, since there is a very definite bias in favor of electing those who actually did something for their nation. He’s not only barking up the wrong tree, he’s also challenging God’s Word.
FUJK!
