On Monday, an Arizona state senate committee became the first legislative body in the country to pass a bill designed to thwart surveillance programs from the National Security Agency (NSA).

Senate Bill 1156 (SB1156), the Arizona 4th Amendment Protection Act, was introduced by Sen. Kelli Ward and 14 other sponsors and co-sponsors.

The bill faced its first hurdle today, with an important hearing and vote in the Senate’s Government and Environment committee, where it required passage by majority vote to move forward. I believe the idea is not to stop the NSA — it can’t. But to restrict state cooperation with the NSA when they lack a warrant, nor permit any evidence obtained via warrantless surveillance to be admissible in state courts.

Yeah, this the same NSA that missed the Boston Bombers who were traveling to moslem terror zones and posting jihadi Youtube videos? The same NSA that couldn’t catch Major Hassan, the Fort Hood jihadi, when he was openly sending emails to Al Qeida leader Anwar al-Awlaki?

Is that the same NSA you think WE are putting blinders on? lol
