Just watched the VW commercial. Enough with the German kraut engineering’ crap. We’re in America. If they are so damn good, how come America beat the shit out of them TWICE in 2 world wars??

I don't know, but a 1984 Mercedes diesel sedan that I bought for $100 in 2004 is still going with very minimal maintenance (because I can't afford different) although every day I expect it to die. Two years ago I replaced the ORIGINAL battery. Think a Ford or a Chevy would've done as well?
