The widow of a Philadelphia police officer gunned down by a man whose lawyer has been picked by President Obama for a top civil rights post says she wants to testify at his confirmation hearing.
Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, told the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday that he backed Maureen Faulkners request to speak at Debo Adegbiles nomination hearing.
She has requested that she be given the opportunity to be heard before the committee, Grassley said. I think its a reasonable request and I support it.
Adegbile has been described by critics as radical, dangerous and outside the mainstream.
Obama nominated Adegbile to head the Justice Departments Civil Rights Division.
However, he is now facing increased criticism for his role in getting convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu-Jamals death sentence overturned during his time as a practicing attorney with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Doctor Raoul would have been there with his Fry Mumia t-shirts, debating anyone (and winning) on the facts of the case.
That describes the entire O’ administration
Another Obama appointee with a name you can’t pronounce!!!
Where is this country headed?????????
I can scarcely even believe that Obama and Holder would try to promote this person.
America needs to know. But this being a leftist media dominated empire, it probably won’t.
I hope Maureen Faulkner destroys him and the rest of the obamunist criminals.
Let’s see what lies the dems can concoct to keep this brave woman out.
It never ends for her and I cannot imagine the grief she has felt and hell she has been through over the years as celebrities, politicians and entire cities have rallied around her husband's killer.
May they burn in hell along with the murderer and all strength and prayer to Maureen and her mission of seeking justice for husband.
Never forget. Never ever forget.

By now you’ve probably heard the details about President Obama’s nominee, Debo Adegbile, to head the Civil Rights Division inside the Department of Justice. In 2011, Adegbile voluntarily took on the case and cause of America’s most notorious cop killer, Mumia Abu-Jamal, 30 years after he was convicted of murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulker. Despite his radical past and voluntary support for Abu-Jamal, Obama wants him to be in charge of the DOJ division responsible for bringing cases against police officers and law enforcement agencies.
Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on his nomination. Six major law enforcement organizations representing more than one million law enforcement officers across the country have sent scathing letters to Senators and President Obama opposing Adegbile’s nomination. Leaders from the organizations describe Adegbile’s nomination as offensive, insulting and deeply concerning. Below are excerpts from those letters.
