It is my understanding that you find the same culinary arrangements in Mexico. Seems to be a good way of keeping down the costs of a correctional system.

“Halal” pork can be cheaply produced by circumcision of the hog.

The circumcision:
1. must be done to hogs weighing in excess of 500 pounds.
2. must be done by a Muslim wearing a loincloth and sandals.
3. the hog must not be restrained (no squeeze cages).
4. the hog must not be sedated in any way.

Halel pork producing facilities are allowed to sell tickets to hog circumcision events.

Why not just get some halal labels for whatever they feed them? Most probably wouldn’t know the difference. If they had any smarts,they probably wouldn’t be imprisoned in the first place.
