New York State Senate passed a bill on Tuesday that directly addressed the controversy surrounding the American Studies Associations boycott of Israeli universities. [ ]
The bill was sponsored by Democratic Senator Jeff Klein, and it passed with a wide margin of 56-4. [ ]
The new legislation would prevent New York higher-ed institutions from paying membership fees to academic groups that boycott Israel and will no longer reimburse students or scholars for their travel expenses to conventions of groups that have voted to boycott the Jewish State.

I certainly don’t support the hostility towards Israel, but how is this NYS law constitutional?
No wonder the US in largely in a deep freeze. Hell froze over. N.Y. State legistlature did something right (and that is the last time that it will ever do anything that is RIGHT).
Now let’s see if the Senate does the same.
Also, look out for who is going to protest this “pro-Israel” vote. Lots of Moslem student organizations will. So too will their communist/socialist friends.
Take names and post them here. We need to know who the enemies of freedom are.
Anti-Israel bias is spreading among the Left. Congratulations to the legislators for at least trying to see that state funds are not spent on these antisemitic organizations. The next step is to question why the antisemites are on the payroll in the first place.
