Of course.....Waxmen wants no part of what’s coming in the 2014 mid-term elections.

What's coming?

Are you suggesting the Republicans will not aid, abet and support this upcoming this country killing amnesty?

Lets hear it.

Good. Then he can spend his millions on plastic surgery so he won’t scare the horses.

Good.

But don't expect his seat to go Republican.

In fact, expect another barking moonbat.

This only means something if we can oust Boehner, McConnell and all other establishment RINOs

I certainly hope he do not have something terminally wrong.
My blood pressure cannot stand another State Funeral for one of these Fascists sons of the beach with the pious media eulogy's telling us "What a Great American" he was.

Here’s how it works. You leave your job when a better job comes along or when you’re at a high point. He knows it won’t get any better in the House for Dems so he’s going to feather his nest with a lucrative apoointment somewhere. I guarantee in a few weeks he’ll be somewhere in DC doing something for his master.

Yes, and to spell things out a little more explicitly (ref the last part of George Will’s piece linked to above) with Obama’s much expanded use of EO’s the Congress can either rubber stamp what he wants, or complain when he does something by fiat.

IOW Congress is just relegated to being a very expensive debating society. With no real power. THAT will be consolidated in the Executive Branch.

I don’t have the link handy on my smartphone, but see the last line of George Will’s column today on the Oklahoma Obamacare suit ..
By dispensing subsidies through federal exchanges, the IRS will spend tax revenues without congressional authorization. And by enforcing the employer mandate in states that have only federal exchanges, it will collect taxes — remember, Chief Justice John Roberts saved the ACA by declaring that the penalty enforcing the mandate is really just a tax on the act of not purchasing insurance — without congressional authorization.

If the IRS can do neither, it cannot impose penalties on employers who fail to offer ACA-approved insurance to employees.

If the IRS can do both, Congress can disband because it has become peripheral to American governance.

Yes, yes, but why would congress critters stand up and cheer their own demise???

Because, as David Horowitz (I think) once said, the issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

In this case, Horowitz’s comment can be interpreted as the end goals of Progressivism. Waxman probably cares very little for his own personal power, for power’s own sake. He does care about how he can use that power to advance his agenda and ideology, in service to his cause. And Congress is increasingly irrelevant - by intent/design - in doing so.

So like I said, the Exec Branch is now the place where the agendas will be advanced. It’s admittedly much cleaner way of operating. All strong executives, ones with the ability to rule by fiat (EO) are. Congressional power was a useful tool, but it was also very messy and unpredictable ..

Is that it?

The “so they think” part is about where I’m at. Getting them out of DC where regular folks can get a krack at them is a good thing. After being traiterous thugs for a few decades they all might wind up in Bimini or some such hidey hole since they can’t bring their DC security home with them. There needs to be some serious retribution for these dirtbagz that have spent us into such a hole.

A 40 year history of putting lawful businesses out of business, by his lying and scheming House "investigations of wrong doing!"

Where do they go to get their reputations back, Mr. Waxman?????
