Last night in Chicago, black grassroots activists reacted to President Obamas State of the Union address at Wallaces Catfish Cornerand it wasnt pretty.
J.R. Fleming of the Chicago Anti-Eviction Campaign said, This state of the union was the same ol same ol, a bunch of talk and rhetoric to give favor to a dying economy in Americaand the reason why our economy is dying is the Presidents approach is always to place blame Its not the 1 percent problem, its not the 99 percent problem, its an American problem, and the problem is patronage, nepotism and cronyism.
Joe Watkins, Founder of V.O.T.E. (Voices of the Ex-Offender) asked how raising the minimum wage was going to help people who dont have any jobs right now. Watkins remarked that despite holding a graduates degree, he has been unemployed for four years.
But perhaps the biggest slam was when Mark Carter, also of V.O.T.E., suggested that black Americans would be better off if the President would cut his presidency short and just quit. Carter direct his comments to the President, saying, if this is what you call helping us, then just stop helping us.
Carter went on to criticize the Presidents record during his time in Chicago as a community organizer. He had never done anything for the community, he didnt know the people in the community. All those things they talk about Altgeld Gardens, he wasnt doing that stuff for real.

Well, boyz, without you he wouldn’t be president.
Wow. 0bams’s support in da community might drop to 89%.
The community organizer busted by a “local”. That alone sort of destroys the veneer caring...and sharing.
A lot of this is because he’s on the down low, which repels many of them, but they’ll still vote for him, as you said.
Down from 140% is quite a drop
You mean that Barry aint down with the struggle?
That’s why I think Hillary chooses DeVal Patrick or Cory Booker for VP, with a “wink, wink” about Hillary’s health fading.
Well, boyz, without you he wouldnt be president.
I am not blaming all of them for Obama. One said he didn’t vote for him.
These people have gotten it right and we need to welcome their way of thinking.

He just made my day...: )
LOL - we suspected all along...
Mark Carter...you are about to be IRS audited

But I bet you voted for him.
Nothing worse than a scorned woman? Well, maybe there is something else now. The One has finally been found out, outed by himself, really, as a total fraud. Too bad it didn’t come a couple years ago, but with any luck, maybe some of the bad taste will carry over to the next election and they will not trust ANY democrat!

And you know the rest of the Obamazombies voted for him based upon the color of his (and their) skin and not the content of his character. I wonder what MLK would have to say about THAT...
