This is nothing new. Disney jumped the shark years ago.
The Disney Chanel = MTV lite.
Not too long ago, while flipping through channels, I saw a hysterical female on Disney do violent acts in the name of a comedy sketch. One of her targets was an older man dressed in military clothing. Nice respect there.
As far as I’m concerned, the Disney channel is the farm club for MTV, and has been for a long time. We never had the Disney channel when my kids were young - thankfully. So this was about 20 years ago, so it’s been a very long time.
I’m surprised how many parents even here in Alabama still think Disney equals good children’s programing. Even a nudist channel would probably have less negative propaganda than Disney.
Most children’s programing, and tween and teen sitcoms, have the young folks making wise cracks or smarting off to parents and adults. I’ve blocked more children and youth channels than regular channels.
The Disney Channel is the farm league for every creep out now.
