Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says Republicans will not give President Obama the unconditional debt-limit bill he wants:
I think for the president to ask for a clean debt ceiling, when we have a debt the size of our economy, is irresponsible. So we ought to discuss adding something to his request to raise the debt ceiling that does something about the debtor it produces at least something positive for our country, McConnell told Fox News Sunday.
McConnell said President Obama is unreasonable to suggest that Congress treat his debt ceiling request like some kind of motherhood resolution that everyone would approve unconditionally.
He said a Keystone pipeline measure is a good example of something that could be attached to debt limit legislation because it would create jobs for the American people.

The Gelded OLD Party will cave faster than France.
Michelle Obama is not running for Senate in 2016, Obama doesn’t care what happens. Bill Clinton did.
The vichy gop wing of the uniparty at work.
We can’t discuss spending less when we hit the debt limit, because that’s holding the country hostage.
And, we can’t have a discussion when the budget comes up, because we have to have a clean CR.
We can’t have a discussion any other time, because there’s just so much legislation waiting to be passed that will save us all.
So linguini-spine McConnell is going to spout more words and then back it up with more capitulation.
No Thanks!
Bitch is probably just posturing for his primary this year, although the posturing might have to go so far as to produce some tangible results.
“He said a Keystone pipeline measure is a good example of something that could be attached to debt limit legislation because it would create jobs for the American people. ”
Or maybe another multi-billion dollar dam project in Kentucky, right Mitch? After all, pork trumps deficit concerns every time for a Big Government Republican.
The GOP will INSIST on “immigration reform” before giving him a blank debt ceiling. The GOPe are not to be trifled with, they WILL get their demands.
Who does Mitch think he’s kidding?
What’s 6 dollars less than infinity?
