WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Supreme Court said on Friday that, while litigation continues, an order of Roman Catholic nuns need not comply with a part of President Barack Obama's healthcare law requiring employers to provide insurance that covers contraception.
In the latest skirmish over religious objections to providing government-mandated contraception, the four-sentence court order was a partial victory for the Little Sisters of the Poor, a Baltimore-based order of nuns that runs nursing homes, and Illinois-based Christian Brothers Services, which manages healthcare plans for Catholic groups.
The unusually worded order by the court did impose a requirement on the groups before they can claim the exemption. First, they must send written notification to the Department of Health and Human Services saying they object to the contraception mandate.

Thanks for the picture.
GOD’s rich blessings upon them!
The wheels grind on. This is an ambush for a brittle Barack, methinks.
P.S. Look at the pure joy on their faces! It warms my heart.
Looks like said blessings already are, if they put Christ first as best they know.
That is the right attitude. So many nuns get grim and that’s just plain abomination (actually it’s abomination when any Christians carry on like they were weaned on pickles).
>> its abomination when any Christians carry on like they were weaned on pickles
So teaches our Pastor... and he’s in good company.
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice...”, as Paul says in Philippians 4:4.
Here's a better picture.
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting them.
These nuns had a real devotion to Pope John Paul Ii, still do.. He will be canonized in April
The winners here would be not the nuns, they will never comply, but their patients, who would not get care, if the nuns are denied the religious freedom to give them care.
Our devotion to efficiency, according to Fr Ricardo, who quotes a Pope, I think JPII, is the root of the culture of death
Birth control is part of that. There are people who have maintained its immorality for the past fifty years, and the church has maintained BC as immoral for the 2000 years of its existence. It will not change with the times.
If the court denies religious freedom to these people, they are worse than Obama.
God has blessed this country greatly, and our founders and every generation up to the end of the sixties has given God reverence
Now, in our quest for efficiency, we, as a country , have denied Him and defied Him
Those who wish to practice their faith in spite of all they see around them, realize the fruitlessness and the immorality of practicing life as an effort for efficiency, to be judged by other people.
The nuns would never wonder what the Muslims think. They have their own set of rules to live by which are based on God’s regulations for a good life. As you can see in the picture, they have no confusion. Many Catholics through the centuries have been denied, by oppressive cultures and governments, religious freedom. This is no different.
If our country denies them their freedom, we’ll have bigger powers than Muslims to be concerned with. We can pretend we can get past it, like we pretend we can get pat Benghazi, but it will be bad
Most people in this country don’t care about shoving God out of their lives and ignoring the basis of marriage. But that is not what God, the creator, intended. And we can stop for just a second and see the results of losing his grace and protection in our pushing Him out.
Divorce, discord, 55,000,000 surgical abortions, out of control debt, rampant pornography addiction and exposure, a vacuous culture, apathy, sporadic killings, governmental corruption, loss of moral authority on the world stage
Our focus on efficiency that brings acceptance of birth control defies God’s intention for marriage. We reinvent it and this is the result
These nuns are happy, you can see that, not because things are going their way, but because they are not dependent on things going their way. If they have to close their doors the people they serve will have to move and to a cold efficient institution that they will never care about The nuns will go wherever God wants them. He has them where he wants them right now.
If this case is lost to a Godless government who defies the constitution which affords us the ability to worship in peace, watch how the public reacts. That’s going to be important. They slims think we are satanic we already know that. They don’t have moral superiority over us, but if we tell God we don’t need Him and His reasonable rules for a good life, how can He give us protection
The Muslims are willing to kill to get conversions to their cult, and people are willing to worship whatever comes their way, if it means not having to obey God’s rules for sex
Money, yoga, atheism, pornography, addictions, selfishness
The Muslims will hate us whether we’re good or bad, but they’ll take over if we deny God’s rules and, with it, His grace
Those nuns are us. The end of the USSC denying religious freedom is total takeover by whoever is willing to take over
The Muslims are not who is important here, it’s our God, and not their’s who is important to us
Weird question
The 9/11 hijackers were in a strip club the night before they attacked us, so, that’s how pious they are
They are vastly hypocritical, so please don’t bring your great concern for their approval around. It is nauseating
