Krauthammer: Stop jerking Canada around
WashPo ^ | 1/23/2014 | C. Krauthammer

Posted on 01/24/2014 8:45:44 AM PST by T-Bird45

Fixated as we Americans are on Canada’s three most attention-getting exports — polar vortexes, Alberta clippers and the antics of Toronto’s addled mayor — we’ve somewhat overlooked a major feature of Canada’s current relations with the United States: extreme annoyance.

Last week, speaking to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Canada’s foreign minister calmly but pointedly complained that the United States owes Canada a response on the Keystone XL pipeline. “We can’t continue in this state of limbo,” he sort of complained, in what for a placid, imperturbable Canadian passes for an explosion of volcanic rage.

While Krauthammer is pointing out the obvious incompetence that passes for government under Obama, he makes an excellent point that this is no way to treat our best ally and trading partner. As usual, the comments following the article are good entertainment.

“We can’t continue in this state of limbo,”

What?

Obama’s puerile lack of resolve and disregard for informed judgment ONLY works in the U.S.??!!

Who knew!?

Maybe by now the rest of the world will regret THEIR wholesale affirmation of this bounder!

Must we crown this run of diplomatic malpractice with gratuitous injury to Canada, our most reliable, most congenial friend in the world?

Obviously, Barry's plan is to make sure we don't have any friends by the time he's done with us.

Seeing as he jerks his own country around, why on earth would he give a rat’s rear end about ours!?

Emperors do what they want.

“The only rationale for denying the pipeline is political”

Wrong Charles, follow the money. Some one has PAID Obama not to approve the pipeline.

Who has the most to gain by the pipeline being delayed or not built at all into the US? The Saudi’s, yes. Petrobas(Soros), yes. The BMSF railroad(Warren Buffet), BINGO, we have a winner.

Wake up Chuckie.

I’d rather Rob Ford were president than the person who now resides in the executive mansion. Seriously.

Bieber was just a warning. Everyone knows Bieber was born in Stratford, Ontario. What you haven’t been told, is that he was conceived in a secret underground bunker, in the middle of a field, just outside of the city. Bieber was just a prototype. If the U.S. doesn’t soon approve Keystone, expect a whole wave of Bieber clones to begin mobilizing American tweener girls against the regime. There will be screaming, OMG, there will be screaming. You have been warned.

“I’d rather Rob Ford were president than the person who now resides in the executive mansion. Seriously.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I say replace him with Charles Manson, you may say I’m as crazy as Manson but Manson has a singular recommendation, both parties would agree to impeach and remove him within fifteen minutes and no one would dare call it racism even though there would be at least as much racism involved as there is in the opposition to the current usurper.

It is possible that Manson may even be able to produce a valid birth certificate proving he is constitutionally qualified to be president although available information indicates that his surname at birth may not have been Manson.

When questioned about his intentions regarding the presidency Manson made the following statement.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9QXY80OxS0

Manson has expressed his overall philosophy of government in another statement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clw_-97mqpM which seems to show a greater degree of consistency and logical thinking than statements from some others who have been mentioned as possible presidential candidates.

This interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UgQSgzMoFk leaves the unanswered question of why Manson would consent to be interviewed by someone representing an outlet as insignificant as MSNBC, Manson and the two interviewers together represent a group almost as large as the MSNBC audience. The two interviewers don’t seem to realize that Manson, someone they clearly look down upon, makes at least as much sense as some of their own paid commentators.

I can’t quite make up my mind whether this post should be marked sarcasm or, in the context of the current Mad, Mad, Mad World should be considered serious commentary.

Canada, sorry but hold on.

Do not do anything now, wait until we stand up and elect a real American president.

You waited as long as you have. Just three more years.

Sorry but please just wait. Wait.

We’re almost there.
