Anthony Weiner, wife hunt for cheaper digs
NY Post ^ | 1/21/14

Disgraced pol Anthony Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, are looking to move out of their $12,000-a-month Park Avenue South rental to a cheaper place.

“Their lease is up in a couple of months, so they are looking at apartments,” a source told us.

The pervy former mayoral candidate and the aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were spotted looking at apartments last week in the Gramercy area, spies said, east of the $3.3 million, four-bedroom rental they’ve been living in that’s owned by Democratic donor Jack Rosen, a close pal of Bill Clinton.

But he’s reportedly pulling in between $300,000 and $400,000 annually as a political consultant, while Abedin makes $150,000.

Remarkable, isn't it, how the left takes care of its own. Weiner has been publicly humiliated and forced from office, and good, but enough is enough and we shouldn't pile on. But then this ... I do wonder who is paying him, and for what.

Why is Jack Rosen charging them ANYTHING for rent? As a friend of Impeached 42 and Hitlery, he ought to realize that redistribution of wealth is the proper model.

He ought to allow Weiner and his Muslim wife to stay there FREE.

Typical 1%er... filthy rich and wanting more.

My guess is that they are no longer seen as useful to the party, so the party is pulling the rug out from under them. The freebies and subsidies are being turned off.

After twelve years in Congress, perverts knows the ropes about the pet pork legislative process and where the skeletons are hiding. Somebody is always looking for insider knowledge.

Weiner's reportedly pulling in between $300,000 and $400,000 annually as a political consultant....

Weiner's pipe dream---self-promoting PR he put out to pump himself up (oops---I shouldn'ta said that---LOL). As for Huma's (cough) salary----Hillary gave Abedin “State Dept special status" while working as a private contractor for Teneo Holdings. Read on.

====================================================

Sen Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) probed Hillary aide’s employment status, asking how Huma Abedin got a sweetheart deal as a private six-figure consultant while at the State Department. Abedin and hubby, disgraced sexter/loser ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner, purportedly hauled in some $350,000 in outside income on top of Abedin’s $135,000 govt salary.

Abedin held “special government employee” status, and worked a sideline---as a private contractor. One of her clients was Bill CLinton's Teneo Holdings, a consulting firm that calls itself the “next chapter in strategic advisory.”

============================================

HUMAN EVENTS: Last Dec, a former employee of bankrupt MF Global accused former president Clinton----chairman of Teneo's advisory board----of collecting $50,000 per month through his Teneo advisory firm in the months before MFG careened towards its Halloween filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, as hundreds of millions of investor funds disappeared.

Teneo was hired by MF Global’s former CEO Jon S. Corzine to improve his image and to enhance his connections with Clinton’s political family, said the employee, who asked that his name be withheld because he feared retribution, according to HE.

The Teneo contract with MF Global lasted at least five months, the souce said. The board cancelled it after Corzine resigned. The source, who is no longer associated with MF Global, said Teneo is a dual-track company with one side devoted to merchant and investment banking and the other side set up to provide image and strategy consulting services.

CAN YOU SAY MONEY LAUNDERING? The trustee for screwed MFG investors later sued JPMorgan bank for return of about $450M that MFG had transferred to the bank.

A recent NYT expose also tarred Bill w/ Teneo's sub rosa dealings.

You don't think they're really out of pocket on this deal, do you?

How desperate is Weiner to get back into power?

At the Caribbean Day Parade, Weiner "rented a voting bloc" to shake his hand.

I suppose so.

I understand that disgraced politicians have to rebuild their lives. I also understand that reentry can be tough. (For many others who have been shipwrecked as well; not just ex-pols.) I generally applaud employers who step up and give people a second chance.

But $400-500,000 seems a bit high for a reentry job. I'm not trying to pick on Weiner here, but one of my pet peeves is the fantasy land regarding wealth and income that so many on the left seen to inhabit. Weiner is a disgraced [fill in the blank], and he gets half a mil. In fact, he's driven from office in disgrace, and he triples his salary.

No wonder the middle class is invisible to the left, which thinks jobs paying $35-80,000 a year are chump change, not worth giving up the food stamps to take.

I will leave names out of it, but I know a Republican ex-pol who took an alcohol detour and ended up bagging groceries for awhile on his road back. I can't help but think that this sort of experience would do the Weiner's of the world a lot of good.

NY POST REPORTED Weiner's landlord Jack Rosen is no stranger to sex scandals. In 1999, he was hauled into court by a Russian model who said she’d had an affair with the married dad of two and that he was the father of her young daughter. Rosen first denied paternity but then stopped fighting the suit, and the judge gave the child — who is now in high school — Rosen’s surname. Rosen did not return calls.

Under President Clinton, Mr. Rosen was a Presidential appointee to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, as well as a member of the NASA Advisory Council and member of the US-Israel Bi-National Commission on Housing and Community Development.

He was also a special guest of President Clinton’s at the historic signing of the Israel-Jordan Peace Treaty. Perhaps someone has the figures, but I don't think most ex-congressmen do this well. We hear about the big names, mostly committee and subcommittee chairs, who cash out as big time lobbyists, but I think they are the exception, not the rule. I am ready to stand corrected if someone has data to the contrary.

No question. Remember when he was running for mayor and i don’t exactly recall what he said but it was all over the place he had infuriated the Clintons? I’d bet that 12k a month was either below market when he signed it or possibly not even paid.

There's a great house available upstate they can buy cheap. The owner, Estelle, must sell the house quickly because her husband Carlos has been arrested by the Israelis, having been accused of being Adolf Hitler's pool boy.

Hillary Clinton is practically the Dem annointed candidate for POTUS 2016. Weiner is married to Hillary’s body woman. Hillary’s husband married them. Power in who you know, people will pay for the proximity.
