My precious daughter was born at 28 weeks. 1lb 3oz.
The doctors put her in an incubator and had me go with her “to say my good byes”. She made it through the night and went on to spend 3 months in the NICU and had her ups and downs but now she is a happy 8 year old and is the best thing that has ever happened to my wife and I.
Seeing these pictures brought back all those memories and my heart is absolutely breaking for that little boy and his family. God bless this family for sharing their story. Support your local march of dimes. They helped us immensely.

I’m glad they helped you ... but I won’t be giving them any money ... The March of Dimes has become an abortion cheerleader ... they have reached their goals of reducing birth defects by pushing invasive prenatal testing (amnio and such) and abortions when any test comes back with a poor result ... These tests are very often skewed ,, a good result almost 100% of the time is good where a negative result is maybe accurate only 60-80% of the time.. My first boy was “diagnosed” with trisomy 18 by one of these tests , a chromosomal error that is pretty much a death sentence... Long story short .. test was inaccurate , he is now 10 and an honor roll student.

My nephew and his wife had their little girl a little earlier in gestation than yours, in apparently the same year. She was in ICU for about 3 months as well, and it was touch and go, but she’s a happy healthy 8 yr. old, and, despite the belief that preemies will have serious learning disabilities, the only problem she seems to have in school is reading comprehension.
