I've always figured that Christie would be a flop if he runs in 2016 (the way Giuliani was), but the recent media all-out attack on him over some traffic cones which he may or may not have known about shows how ruthless they will be in attacking anyone who stands in the way of a Democrat victory in 2016.

If Republicans spend the next three and a half years destroying each other, it won't matter who they nominate in 2016...that person will be a sure loser.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Left only needs one more leftist on the Supreme Court to have a solid 5-4 majority (even when Kennedy and Roberts vote conservatively). Four of the current justices were born in the 1930s so the next President is likely to have at least one appointment to make.

The 1%’ers have already chosen Jeb Bush.

Bet on it.

Actually it was June 5th, 2008 when the event occurred. I was going from memory.

This is why Hillary didn't use the mountain of dirt the Clinton Crime Syndicate surely had on Obama. Remember even though Obama was slightly ahead in the delegate count Hillary could have still gotten the nomination with super-delegates and still contested votes instates like Florida.

The Clintons play dirty and they play for keeps. Something extraordinary occurred during that first week of June to restrain a power mad demon like Hillary.

” Something extraordinary occurred “... that I suspect as well, to stop Hillary.

Maybe they traded dirt on each other???

Here are the cover stories:

Two Rivals Sneak Away to Meet, and the Hunt Is On

Clinton Sneaks Out to Meet Obama in Washington

This is what really happened

My point of this is that the witless, talentless, meritless Obama could never have become President and remained so without extraordinary power being exerted behind the scenes. In fact not a single political race he has run in could be called ordinary.

You get no argument from me on that one, for sure.

one of those who don’t have faith in the American people to do the right thing and keep her out of the White House

You are right on target. The American people want the worst to come.

LOL. Unfortunately, most people won’t remember Vince Foster.

'Course not. Attention span of sand fleas.

They won't remember, either, people who suicided in the middle of an intersection by shooting themselves six times with the assistance of three or four stocky, cold-bold assassins. Or people floating in creeks and bayous. Or people being machine-gunned in Baton Rouge fleabag motels. Or people who stabbed themselves to death nine times. Or suicided out windows after getting the goods on Slick.

Nothing to see here, folks, move on, please. </off New York Times>

The definition of high capacity is constantly revised downward, the ultimate goal is to make anything over one round an illegal high capacity magazine.

Charles Krauthammer wrote an article about it in the 90's and called it "defining deviancy up" (for you -- minutiae become huge, huge outrages if you do it). (Example: all the "daddy is a secret monster" movies, and further examples Sleeping with the Enemy, The Glass House, and Tombstone ["Ah'm from TEX-usss! <audience hisses>"]).

It was a companion piece to Daniel Patrick Moynihan's coinage, "defining deviancy down", by which he meant the game The New York Times was playing then, of soft-pedaling the crimes of perverts and other disfavored groups (i.e., favored by NYT editors and publishers) and redefining large perversions as piffling little faux pas. This was a necessary first step to rounding on middle-class America and demonizing us.

She and Slick got orders from Moscow Centre?

I don't know that Slick and Shill ever took orders from Moscow Centre -- after 1989, anyway.

By all accounts, their campaigns and presidency were beholden to Beijing and the ChiComms.

Yeah, after the hand-off they worked for BuDer ... not sure why ..... maybe KGB's plate was full and they viewed Slick as a risky asset.

But I'm sure KGB remained a "friendly service" providing direction to their many good friends in the "Counterculture/Peace Movement", going back to the days when the latter was run by Active Measures w/ input from the North America Institute.

The real story -- assuming Time actually has a story here -- is the subtitle, "How to Scare off Your Rivals Without Actually Running (Yet)."

It's not that HRC is popular with the voters. It's that she knows ways to keep potential opponents out of the race and isn't afraid to use them.
