He made the pledge in a TV speech on Friday (17 January) in reaction to the Edward Snowden leaks.

“I’ve made clear to the intelligence community that unless there is a compelling national security purpose, we will not monitor the communications of heads of state and government of our close friends and allies,” he said.

“We do not collect intelligence to provide a competitive advantage to US companies or US commercial sectors,” he added.

He justified the mass-scale collection of information on ordinary US or foreign nationals’ telephone calls, however. …

The EU faux outrage is laughable. I am certain they are doing it to us. Sadly, I wish they would reveal Obama’s cell phone calls to Reggie and others. Unfortunately, they can use such information to blackmail our “Commander and Chief”, into making seemingly anti-American like decisions.

He first said “Trust Me” and then qualified all his promises with the phrase, “unless there is a compelling national security purpose”. In other words, NSA will continue to have free reign and no one is exempt from coercion, bribery, criminalization and muzzling.

The Kommunist King Barry/Soros/Snowden take down of our NSA limits them to spying ONLY on Americans (not Communist countries or terrorists). Get a clue, Amerika. Even those WITHIN our NSA approve of this, regardless how they ‘act’ about it.

The natural consequence of this, where Obama is an unrepentant, world class Liar and everybody knows it, is for our allies to start spying on him, other Americans or organizations of American interest. Some of this counter-spying will purposefully be done so heavy handedly, so openly, that it’s not a secret. That will be the Europeans’ way of saying; “YES!! We are now spying on YOU!! Do you have a problem with that, Mr. Obama? Are you planning to send your Doddering VP Joe Biden or Sec of State John Bloviator Kerry over to Washington, so they can Huff and Puff and Blow the UN right off the map? Well, do you?”
