Junk Science: Senate Democrats want TV networks to promote climate-change hysteria and follow the lead of Britain's state broadcasting company, which sent its top executives to a green propaganda training seminar.
The mainstream media, long a house organ for Democrats, are about to come under pressure by Senate Democrats led by Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, who are gathering signatures from colleagues on a letter to the networks telling them they're ignoring global warming, according to a report in the National Journal.
They are seeking to impose sort of a climate change "fairness doctrine" designed to ignore inconvenient truths about climate researchers getting stuck in Antarctic ice that was supposed to have melted in favor of the gospel according to Al Gore.
"It is beyond my comprehension that you have ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox, that their Sunday shows have discussed climate change in 2012, collectively, for all of eight minutes," Sanders said, citing analysis by the leftist George Soros-linked Media Matters for America, which promotes media bias while claiming to fight it.
"Sunday news shows are obviously important because they talk to millions of people, but they go beyond that by helping to define what the establishment considers to be important and what is often discussed during the rest of the week," he said.
Certainly the Obama administration believes that, having sent U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice out to lie about the Benghazi terrorist attack on five Sunday talk shows.
What Sanders wants is for the major networks to become a forum for uncontested green propaganda as the British Broadcasting Corp. has become on the other side of the pond.

Democrats are counting on the media not really investigating or fact finding. Instead, they are expecting and hoping the media will just regurgitate the propaganda.
The simple fact that the media omits Man Made Global Climate Change stories is telling enough that there is no credibility associated with the claims. If the media has to report facts to support their stories, the libs won’t like what they see.
I think this could backfire.
And to the Democrats adn Enviromentalists — how much will it cost me in $ as an American consumer if you get everything you want?
It will cost more to heat my house, feed my family, gas for my car... buy clothing, ... everything will be more expensive!

After years of shilling the holy greatness of Obama, I highly doubt this would backfire. All the dems need to do is contact the CEOs and remind them of their requirement to support "the cause."
It is pretty pitiful watching the local evening news. More gossip that actual news. Certainly not objective hard driving news that is looking for the truth. They are only parroting other news sources.
I agree and have no confidence in the media's intent to report without bias or factually. But will all the data and facts out there that dispute the "consensus", the media must choose to test their credibility. The only argument the MMGW wackos have and continue to use is that 97.8546789% of credible scientists believe that humans are the reason there is global climate change. They have run out of statistics and facts and really don't want to have to defend any science they think they have "created".
The subject is not scientifically taboo because the assertions cannot be defended. The models were not only wrong by forcibly falsified repeatedly and they can't defend the problems.
I don't think the climate change radicals want any more attention until the earth starts warming again.
Yeah, true. Engage a warmie will elicit an angry retort, usually on these talking points.
1. You don’t know anything about science.
2. Man-made climate change is a conclusion agreed upon by 97% of scientists.
3. Weather isn’t climate, and anyway the “polar vortex” is a symptom of a warming climate.
4. The Daily Mail and the Telegraph are pushing BS, but the Guardian is the gold standard for climate truth.
5. You don’t know anything about science (back around again).

The media loves blasting climate hysteria every new worst weather since Bush’s Katrina or the vortex or a heat wave. The storms help sell soap powder. Storm graphics are easy and reusable. The gravy for the media is that they can push the “climate change” portion of the socialist agenda, but that’s just gravy for them.
Too late... the world freezes and is on to the left’s biggest scam against man in ALL of MANKIND’S HISTORY!
