Shoulda, woulda, coulda. But I imagine the dems will scream about doing this if conservatives should ever regain any power.

This sounds like a joke. Let us get the mafia to create a Mafioso bill of rights and the dog-fighters to create a doggy bill of rights....

Yeah, the constitution just doesn’t protect us enough by restricting the fedguv.

Better yet, get rid of it completely. Switch to a consumption tax model and put this gestapo bureaucracy in the grave, where it belongs.

“IRS should create, adopt U.S. taxpayer bill of rights”

Yeah, sure. And let King George write up the united states constitution and bill of rights.

Ya what a laugh. Its not different than letting Congress design a term limits law. LOL, what could possibly go wrong.

I thought there already was a “taxpayers bill of rights”.

IIRC, they adopted an IRS bill of rights....and IIRC, they could search endlessly and you had to prove they were wrong.

We already have a Bill of Rights. The 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments are applicable, and would be if we had good politicians.

Worthless. They’ve already compromised their integrity. Fire the lot of them and start over. The IRS is a tool of political repression. Let’s try a new way.

Civil rights are not created by government, but are natural rights. Confusing natural rights with license granted by government is a very bad idea.

Government tries very hard to confuse the two. For example, “corporate civil rights” are exclusively given, and can be taken away.

Yes, and journalists should have a code of ethics assuring that they will be objective. Oh, that’s right - they do - but being objective is not something that people naturally do - or even are capable of doing.

We should try something different - like passing an amendment phasing out the income tax over a few years, and abolishing the IRS. It has way too much power to be safe - just like the Associated Press.
