Despite how heavily armed many Americans are - without the will to pull the trigger when tyranny comes to impose it's demands, we might as well be defenseless considering how weak gun owners in CT have demonstrated themselves to be this week

That's a good reply, and I thank you for taking the time to fully flesh out your thoughts for me.

However, I'm not prepared to accept the premise that all Americans would respond to a despotic edict to register their guns, like those in CT just did. As Walter Williams so eloquently pointed out in his excellent piece above, there are two different cultures inhabiting the same country at this time. Those who just surrendered their God given rights in CT don't represent me and those who believe as I do.

I believe that out of the 100 million gun owners in America, there are a sufficient number of stout hearted patriots who will not back down in the face of absolute tyranny, should it finally come to that.

Further, I don't believe that such a patriot force can be overcome by the military of this country - even if every man in uniform stood against us. This country hasn't achieved an unqualified military victory against any enemy since 1945, and indeed, has been sent home packing by forces that were inferior by many orders of magnitude, again and again.

Factor in that American forces would be charged with murdering their own countrymen in such a confrontation -- on their own soil, and the odds of success for such a military adventure drop even more.

Sure, the federal government has an awesome degree of power, but someone's got to pull the trigger. I'm telling you, they don't have the stones to see it through.

As for me, I plan to have a heart to heart with my GP who is struggling to keep his head above water,(who detests liberals), and explain that I’m prepared to volunteer my services. FREE. I know he and his staff work their tails off seven days of the week. They’re buried in government red tape!

Our dedicated doctors need our help too. If we can’t pay extra for their time, the least we can do is work to share some of their load!

I appreciate your optimism, we need some.

However, let's look at the reality of several points you made.

I believe that out of the 100 million gun owners in America, there are a sufficient number of stout hearted patriots who will not back down in the face of absolute tyranny, should it finally come to that.

What if they do not consider it tyranny that we suffer? What if they consider tyranny 'necessary' to keep everyone 'safe'? What is the line for most? I heard it said by gun owners since my youth 'from my cold, dead hands' - yet some of the gun owners I know today think that registration is inevitable, probably a good thing, and will 'keep gun owners responsible'. Some say they intend to bury or 'hide' their guns but the talk of resisting such tyranny is not even considered.

Second, you need to consider what privation does to one's principles. Hunger, fear and exposure are powerful weapons of demoralization. History teaches such a people in misery will readily betray their own flesh and blood for a mere promise of bread.

I don't believe that such a patriot force can be overcome by the military of this country

I just witnessed an entire 'God-fearing" culture be overcome by wickedness, depravity and abomination without a single shot being fired. I watched an entire Christian people watch as their right of free exercise and religious expression be stripped from them under the color of law. What makes you think physically conquering a people who refused to stand for their religious and foundational principles will be any more difficult? If such a people would not even stand for their religious freedoms, what makes you think they will resist military force to impose other government tyrannies?

Factor in that American forces would be charged with murdering their own countrymen in such a confrontation -- on their own soil, and the odds of success for such a military adventure drop even more.

If a military force is fundamentally transformed, it's leadership filled with those without biblical morals and loyal to an agenda rather than the Constitution - you underestimate what it is capable of doing to a people their agenda tells them to hate and kill.

Sure, the federal government has an awesome degree of power, but someone's got to pull the trigger. I'm telling you, they don't have the stones to see it through.

Waco. Ruby Ridge. Watertown, MA. Daily news stories of militarized police and alphabets wasting people and their dogs in no knock raids. I'm telling you, they already have done what you say they have no stones to see through.

Add hunger, bankruptcy, misery and privation to the mix, and a well fed solider or police agent will do whatever they are told out of keeping themselves provided for - even if it's to round up their neighbors and put them on trucks. Hell, we just saw that they will even run people out of their own homes at gunpoint over the 'threat' of someone dangerous.

“If the doctor is going to enter anything into any computer that can be transmitted to a government, I’ll inform him that I’ll refuse or lie.”

I believe that all, or most, doctors have been doing this for years already. The Lucifercare issue simply has made everyone more aware of the problem. In 2010 when we relocated and I first visited my new doctor, the questionnaire asked whether we had guns in the house. When I asked the receptionist something like, “WTF?!?”, she agreed it was terrible but said it was a mandatory question, for the government’s information. Since we’re in a very pro-2nd Amendment state, I assumed it was for Uncle Sam.

“What is being ignored is how many people just got on free medicare vs those actually purchasing plans thru Obamacare.”

You’re probably referring to MedicAID and not MedicARE.

In early October, one woman I saw interviewed had been on the site just surfing to get basic info. Suddenly a screen appeared congratulating her that she was enrolled in Medicaid when she had not enrolled in anything, and she was pissed. She was middle-class, not destitute, and well above traditional guidelines for Medicaid.

I’ve heard that if a person receives Medicaid, when he dies ALL of his assets go to the government. If true, why WOULDN’T Obama enroll everyone possible in Medicaid? That fact, combined with his death panels, create a revenue generating wet dream for The Evil One.

And, re MedicARE, it’s not free. I paid into it for my 50+ working years via mandatory payroll deduction. Now, they take $105/month mandatory (deducted from SS check). They take an additional ~$50/month because of prior high earnings (deducted from my SS check). They mandate that I buy a prescription plan (Plan D) even though I take no prescriptions, and that’s $12/month (I pay to an insurance company). Then, tied to Plan D, they take an additional ~$12/month because of prior high earnings (deducted from my SS check). Then I buy a Medigap Supplemental at $100/month (I pay to an insurance company) because coverage under mandatory Medicare and/or an Advantage Plan sucks. (I could have declined Plan D at the outset, but most likely would never be allowed in at a later date or, if allowed to participate later, the cost would extremely high.)

So, even though the mandates surrounding Lucifercare are outrageous, people over 65 have been dealing with similar crap for years, i.e., the government dictating their healthcare.

I know some folks in one large company in my town had their healthcare changed. Company moved people that were in a lower cost plan into the higher cost version of that plan (example united healthcare (cheaper) vs united healthcare choice plus (more expensive)).

The lower cost plans probably didn't comply with ACA and were forced to move those employees to the higher cost compliant plans.

Naysayers don't believe it, because they've never witnessed the unrestrained anger of the American patriot up close and personal. They've read about it in books, but believe it no longer exists, because we've been a peaceful people for so long. The hard left believes the same thing, and it will prove to be their Achille's Heel.

The US House of Representatives is analogous to a Police Force - - - they “arrest” the perp by Impeaching the perp.

The US Senate is analogous to a Jury of Peers who have the power to throw the Impeached perp off of the taxpayer gravy train, take away his residence, ban him from building a Library paid for by us, and ban him from using his personal Corporate Jet, Air Force One.

Most RINO Americans want to wait, Wait, WAIT! until they control the House, the Senate and the White House.

To those weak-kneeded summer soldier “patriots” I say “Enjoy the Obamanation that you have tolerated since January, 2009.”

Thus, we Summer Soldier Conservatives continue to tolerate a wimpy, hand-wringing, sobbing crybaby Speaker of the House Boehner as our sorry chief policeman.

“Oh, if only my best friends across the aisle would just play nicey nice - - - “ is the perfect quote that fire-in-the-belly Socialist-Democrats love to hear from their doormat, cowardly, Obamacrat RINOs.

Yes indeed, as long as we WAIT for things to be PERFECT we will never attack those whose goal is to destroy the US Constitution.

Suck it up you sorry House RINOs, and replace John “Benghazi Coverup” Boehner with SC Rep Trey Gowdey, or SC Rep Joe Wilson.

Without a fire-in-the-belly Republican Speaker of the House, Obamacrat RINOs will continue to cave in to “their best friends across the aisle,” to the unbridled glee of every Democrat voter in America!

Pretend that you are fighting to enforce the US Constitution, House RINOs.

Fight or go home, House RINOs.

FIGHT or we will send you home!

I hope you are right. Personally I think that all the stuff about the NSA, drone programs, all the high tech stuff that the military and the domestic agencies are supposed to have and be capable of using may be misinformation designed to intimidate us. Think back at the Soviets and their campaigns of lies that never materialized. Same 5hit different day.

Just a hopeful theory and my two cents. You know if your opponent fears you half the battle is won. Sorta like Michelle has the finest sense of fashion in the US and Hillary is the smartest woman in the world, and Al Gore invented the Internet. Same type stuff.
