The first four people shot in Chicago in the new year were wounded by officers answering calls of shots fired in two South Side neighborhoods, authorities said.
Three of the people were shot shortly before 2 a.m. in the Fernwood neighborhood after officers heard gunfire in the 100 block of West 105th Street, police said.
A 25-year-old man and a 30-year-old man were taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center, and a woman was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, also in critical condition, officials said.

A lot of my rural neighbors were shooting guns last night, along with fireworks, nary a cop to be seen. My little wide glide pit mix dug in under the covers on the bed, and shook so hard I thought he was going to have a heart attack.
My two doxies were mighty clingy last night too.
Wonder who’s gonna win this thread. The good old “Amish” crowd with regards to the criminals or the “jack-booted thug” crowd who blame police for every shooting. (popcorn)

So did I! My girlfriend at that time was into Mary Hartman. I couldn’t see why. But after watching a few episodes, I was hooked! And I’ve always enjoyed Martin Mull’s work. Hilarious!
He was hillariouos in “’til Death.” Need to see more of “Dads.”
