Dean: Administration won't be blamed if people can't see their doctor
Washington Times ^ | 12/29/13 | Ben Wolfgang

When Obamacare policies go into effect Jan. 1, some Americans may be surprised to learn that their favored doctors or specialists aren’t covered under new plans.

But supporters of the health-care reform law argue that the blame for that won’t rest with the Obama administration.

“Remember, this is the insurance industry that’s running this and the insurance industry always squeezes costs by eliminating possibilities of seeing people,” said former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.” Mr. Dean is also the former head of the Democratic National Committee.

“I don’t think, for the most part, that the Obama people get the blame for this,” Mr. Dean added.

Is it too late to add this idiot to the 'dumbest quotes of the year' list?

“Mr. Dean’s remarks underscore a key Democratic talking point surrounding Obamacare: if premiums rise dramatically, or if policyholders are extremely limited in which doctors they can visit, the responsibility will lie with the private insurance industry, not with the federal government or President Obama specifically.”

Does the GOP have talking points to counter this?

I'm afraid it is. New Entries closed last Monday.

But, since this not an ordinary year, I will make an exception for Mr. Dean, one of the greatest idiots of all time. The fact that this quote will surely finish second only to the obvious winner: "If you like your ..." also contributed to my decision to waive the rule this one time.

The idiot insurance companies should have known better to get in bed with these thieves.

They are about to become “battered wives” and it’s going to get dumped right in their laps.

Obama owns this with his declared big lie and it needs to be constantly repeated.

“Remember, this is the insurance industry that’s running this and the insurance industry always squeezes costs by eliminating possibilities of seeing people,”

Remember, you arrogant jerk, that in the end someone has to pay the bills, and the insurance companies can’t exist for free. They are doing what they feel they have to do to maintain a viable business plan - something that this administration and has no appreciation for and no understanding of.

EEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAA....the moron strikes again. He is starting to sound as stupid as Pelosi. When the freeloaders suddenly don’t get their “free” money with unearned or unwarranted tax refunds and they go ape *hit Dean will suddenly go silent again

“I don’t think, for the most part, that the Obama people get the blame for this,” Mr. Dean added.

The talking points are almost ready:

Obama tries to fix healthcare while the greedy insurance companies are hurting the middle class.

And don't forget the funding of the "risk corridor" by the taxpayers that shields the insurance companies from any significant losses.

The insurance companies are partners in crime with Obamacare. They supported Obamacare with millions of dollars and they helped write the legislation. I have no sympathy with the insurance companies who welcomed the idea of the government forcing citizens to buy their product.

I agree with you 100%. They were coconspirators from day one. They got their way by winning both sides of the outcome....if everything works, they get more revenues, if it does not they get subsidies.

Dean always has been a left fringe whack job. I can’t understand why the networks keep paying him for his nutty opinions.

Sounds like the beginning of an argument to eliminate the insurance industry from ACA and make the government take over of the health industry complete.

Who was it that said....

“There’s a sucker born every minute.”

It should be the democrat’s byline going into 2014.

I absolutely agree with you, and there are other groups that did the same out of self-interest. I just want to make sure we don't let the ideological democrats who created this mess to get away with pointing the finger at everyone else. This is their strategy - ‘it's all those greedy insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies etc. who are exploiting Obamacare. Otherwise it would work....’ Or, ‘this is why we need a government-run single payer system’. You know these are their talking points.

Everyone needs to remember that Howard Dean did NOT do his job as head of the DNC & DID NOT properly vet Obama in the first place.

Tere is ground zero of our Obama problem.

I happen to agree with Dean on this one. Many in America will believe anything the RATS tell them and God knows they have a more powerful propaganda media machine than Hitler, Goebbels, and Leni Riefenstahl during the 1930s. The RATS hate corporations - e.g. they have a right to contribute to political candidate - and the party has been waging war on industry for as long as I can remember.

OBAMACARE'S DISASTERS ARE ALL GOING TO BE BLAMED ON THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY, AND THE CALLS FOR A GOVERNMENT RUN SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM, e.g. MEDICAID - WILL BE GOING OUT RIGHT AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR AND WELL BEFORE THE GOP HOPES TO TAKE BACK THE SENATE (not).

Even though this monstrosity carries the name of America's first king, he is more Teflon coated than Bubba Klintoon and will never ever be blamed for the issues caused by it's implementation. In any event if Obamacare implementation continues to go badly for the admin, the king will simply rewrite that law over and over until the RAT party can win the 2014 elections - THAT IS THE PRIME DIRECTIVE!!

Lets see -

Obamacare causes increased costs to insurers ...

Naturally, the insurers look to cut the increased costs by lowering payments to doctors ...

Doctors who don’t take the decrease get dropped by insurers ...

OF COURSE, the public will blame the insurers AND NOT Obamacare ...
