The New York Times has been known to write the obituaries of famous people who have gotten on in years so they have them ready when the celebrated VIP finally relents and dies.

I've also read about magazine journalists, authors who have several puff piece stories of no particular journalistic distinction kept in some folder in their documents directory, to have ready to go when their "article" quota requires them to cough something up, about 1,000 words long on some global issue, especially around the end of the year when they're either out of town or simply don't feel like wrting anything that is too taxing on the brain.

Well, he certainly has this part wrong...

We are not fighting proxy wars. The world has not been divided into two Orwellian halves, democrats vs. communists.

Oh and it's democrat/communists vs. Americans.

China never called a truce, they just switched tactics since the old ones were not working. Russia did call a truce for a bit but then Putin got control.

China becoming more formidable threat in southeast Asia, Japan should re-arm, abolish their article 9 of their constitution, arm their submarines with nuke-tipped SLBMs, built 15 Izumo class LHDs, make variant of F-35Bs instead of F-35As. Reagan called that peace through strength.

This must be some kind of mistake. The Neocon war mongers are telling us Iran is our most dangerous enemy, too dangerous to even talk with. Why bring up China and Russia at a time like this? No need to worry about those that already have nuclear weapons. Those thinking about them for years are more of a problem. Maybe Iran, like Iraq, is doable. Insanity.

The Cold War is BACK ON, whether or not Washington a ready to acknowledge it. China and Russia are taking account of all those ‘weak links’ holding our democracy together. All it would take may be as simple as overloading and thus shutting down our power grid or internet on one entire coast of the continent. China might test us first, by playing around with Hawaii, or officially taking military control of Taiwan and watch as O does nothing but run his mouth and shake his finger at the cameras.

I think it’s because we haven’t had a president this simpleminded in foreign policy since Carter, and in fact he’s proving to be even more childlike than the peanut farmer. Clinton looks strong by comparison. Weakness invites aggression.

So 0bama yells at China for letting Snowden go to Russia, downs the President of Boliva’s jet trying to get Snowden leaving Russia, spies on Russia and China...reads all of their emails...flies B-52s over Chinese airspace, and just about goes to war with Russia in Syria.

...and we’re supposed to believe that it isn’t 0bama’s fault that Russia and China see a return to the Cold War?!
