I agree, I think we were played like a worn out fiddle.
Not only by A&E but also by the Robertsons. I suspect the premier of their fifth “season” will have spectacular ratings. But I will not be among the viewers. While I enjoyed the “love and camaraderie” of the family, I guess it was all show.

Honestly, I don’t think so. Yet a month or two ago Willie or Phil (can’t remember which one) said in a interview they did not expect the show to go longer than 4/5 seasons. Now it almost certainly will go over 5. Quite the coincidence!

I have to agree with you. The network set up the interview, sat there, listened to the answers to the questions, feigned outrage but......the marathon show had already been scheduled.

I trust that the family wasn't in on that decision if it were a scam. It is typical knee-jerk reactionary liberal SOP.

I must say, though, that I have great sadness for Jesse Jackson this morning. The old boy was just too damn slow this time.

This doesn't appear to be orchestrated to me. I think A&E was stunned by the adverse reaction. I knew that the "political correctness" movement was going to overreach one of these days. The hateful and intolerant forces of political correctness met their Waterloo when they decided to tangle with the Robertsons.

Maybe the days of allowing the tail to wag the dog are finally coming to an end.

I seriously doubt that. I don't watch the show, but it's my impression that the family lives its Christian beliefs and would not participate in such a deception.
