After much discussion with my wife about this story, I came to the conclusion that if it had happened to me, I would have taken 10% off the top, then turned the rest in.

That pretty much solves my moral dilemma with that hypothetical.

Once I saw a guy drop a $20 bill. I stood on it until the guy was a good distance away, and then stuffed it in my pocket.

Then, as I was walking, it worked its way out of my pocket, and was gone.
