I wonder how much of the merchandise A&E owns, if any. I have seen things like they do own some of it, but not anything with a good source.
If A&E does own something, yeeesh—way to stick it to the man. Supposedly all that duck dynasty stuff was flying off the shelves just in time for Christmas.

That was my suspicion as well. Before he was suspended, I had never heard of Phil Robertson. I had heard of Duck Dynasty, but thought it was some sort of children's program featuring Daffy Duck or something like that. Now, Phil Robertson and Duck Dynasty are over the news and have become household words.
That’s what I’ve said from the start. It was done for money. The sales racks emptied out overnight. And of course, it just “happened” to occur during the Christmas rush.
LOL! I know right? You have to figure did A&E not know the kind of guy Phil Robertson was? Of course they did. And was this the first time he let his beliefs known? Of course not. But throw in Phil is “suspended” or “fired” and get the media types to play it up, call up GLAAD ask them to be outraged blah blah and walla ratings go through the roof. This worked out better than they could have hoped.
GLAAD still pulls their strings. Most of us are just too stupid to realize this.
